Myles has never let Qld down. Unless he goes to shit pretty quick, he'll be there for a while still. After all he's only 29 (soon 30)...

I don't believe Taylor will get another reprieve. He's just too brain snap prone, and those are the kind of things that can cost a series!

Yep. I remember when he was playing for the Roosters and all their fans cracked the shits when he'd rip in for QLD while being bog average for them.

Parker is a certainty too. Don't rule Gillett out, I have a feeling he's in the Maroon's long term plans and is just warming up.

If they choose a utility, Hunt is a chance. Missing 5-7 Bronco players, that's not fair.

QLD will show loyalty to a player who has been in the side as long as Myles has ... as long as he keeps performing for the Maroons, he will keep getting selected ... regardless of his club form

It will be bullshit if McGuire isn't selected though. Would easily have him over guys like McQueen, Taylor, Gillett, and current form Papalii.

I think at this stage i would go with:

1. Slater
2. Boyd - assuming he pulls up all right after the next two club games and isn't shit
3. Inglis
4. Hodges - deserves a farewell series IMO.
5. Chambers
6. JT
7. Cronk - we missed him badly last year
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Myles
11. Guerra
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Hunt - I think he offers a bit more versatility than DCE in the spot, given his years as a bench hooker
15. Napa
16. McGuire
17. Gillett

I reckon Michael Morgan could be a chance on the bench, he can play anywhere in the backline and is big enough to play backrow and skillful enough to play 9 if he had to.

I'd still be putting Oates in the side, whether the bench or wing, doesn't matter.

Just read on foxsports that Gillett could lose his spot because QLD want three big men on the bench. Lillyman and McGuire are likely with Papalii/Napa/Gillett competing for the last spot.

I wouldn't really have any problems with Gillett missing out. His whole thing has been that he used to be dangerous in attack. It has never really translated to Origin so far though, and it hasn't really been effective at club level for a while now either.

A bench of DCE Lillyman McGuire Papalii is fine with me.

That's just Dobbo's stab at the team... doubt it's a real leak.
