I didn't watch the Cows game as i decided to watch the battle of the west (Dogs V Panthers). But how bad were NQL read they were Woeful and the match stats support their claim?

Porthoz/Beads, your consistent hassling of Big Pete is becoming a little tiresome. Why get so hung up on such a small issue (not that I agree there's an issue)?

For me it is similar to how you feel with grammar. Big Pete consistently likes to put down the Broncos but pump the tyres of opposition sides especially his cowgirls. Just a pet hate.

I agree that he shouldn't be in the ODI side...

No one said you were worse or better, but it doesn't change the fact that is what you do.
You always emphasise our weaknesses and the opponents strenghts, which is not supporting a team, it's a cop out.

I thought we were also here to critically discuss Rugby League, not just to blindly circle jerk about the team we love. BP adds some (much needed) insightful commentary to these boards which I'm sure many enjoy reading. What doesn't add to the forum is blowing a gasket just because someone has a different viewpoint to you. Get in there and debate him. Yes the Cows could potentially turn things around, but tell him why you think otherwise. I'm sure he'd welcome it.

What Beads said, but in all honesty it has a lot to do with the PC stuff that BP says on LU in the first place, and it's likely where Beads is also coming from...

But I won't derail the thread, which is the reason why I didn't reply to Big Pete's latest post, as it was only escalating anyway, so I went and watched the recording of the Warriors game. (Awesome game to watch as a neutral, which I really wasn't, because I wanted the scum to lose)

I'm going to reply to this one last time, because I feel I must rectify something. It will be the last time I do talk about it in this thread, because it is about the Broncos vs. Cowboys.

I've had many healthy debates with BP, both in the forums and via PM. I thrive debating about things I have strong interests in. The fact alone that he liked your post, makes him a hypocrite, because he knows that's true.

BP adds his opinion to this board and another which I also frequent, and many may or may not like reading it. Whether it's insightful or not, is debatable, as is anyone else's input here. In fairness, most of it is actually interesting, especially his analysis after the games, but a few other bits are ridiculous imo.

No one is asking for circle jerking, because there would be no point in this or any forum for that matter, and I have absolutely nothing against constructive criticism. I just have a problem with the constant negativism, putting down and underrating of the Broncos by someone calling himself a Broncos supporter. Very much like Beads said, it's a peeve, actually a major peeve with me!

I could post here dozens of posts of BP saying that he isn't very confident about the Broncos against any opponent, because of this or that, and how the opponent's can really hurt is because of this or that, but I can't recall the last time he actually backed the team to perform well ahead of a game.It truly reminds me of how Wally comments the Broncos.

Another thing that peeves me seriously, is what a lot of people did last year and has started already this year:
"This opponent was pretty crap, so this win means nothing. Next week we're gonna have a much more serious test".

I'm pretty sure I read that tens of times last season, week after week, until well... We were in the Top 4 and looking likely.

Summing it up, I hate negativism! It stands in the way of confidence and belief, which in turn make up half of what anyone needs to succeed. I especially want the Broncos to enter a game with that confidence and belief, regardless of how little this forum can influence it.

Back to the game, it won't be a walk in the park, and after their dismal display, the Cows will enter Suncorp fired up and have the team and stars to stick it to us. As such they deserve respect.

But I firmly believe that we have the team and the stars to stick it to them harder, and I definitely believe that our boys deserve that confidence and respect!

You just couldn't help yourself could you?

And what a narcissistic assessment - you played no part in my decision to like his post. If you really have to know why I 'liked' his post it's because I generally appreciated his post. That's why I joined this forum - we have a bunch of members with their own unique views and opinions who shared a common love for the best club in the NRL. I've had my share of disagreements on here but I've always respected everybody's point of view and have never dared question their devotion to this club.

I'll wear a lot of things, but being called a hypocrite or having my support for this club questioned simply won't be tolerated. It's incredibly disrespectful and I expected better, especially from you Porthoz.

Edited for ning

Regardless of how the Cowboys played this weekend I always thought this was a winnable game for us. Sure it might be harder now the Cowboys will be fired up after the performance they put it but we will be up for it and don;t forget we will get better as well.

Dear people saying Cowboys were so bad, we'll roll through the middle of them and score a thousand points.
It wasn't actually their defence that was bad. They defended their line pretty well considering they had the WORST HANDLING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. They made our first half effort look error free and perfect. Geeze they were bad. JT won't play that bad twice in a row. It should be a good game. Both teams have a lot of improvement in them.

The Big Pete v everybody stuff is boring. Move on.

I am one of the people who talks down the Broncos before a game only because I'm superstitious about being confident and don't want to jinx us.

Will be heading to the game for sure! Can't wait to be back @ Suncorp again.

The cows broncs derby is always a nail biter. The cowboys ALWAYS turn up to play. Their performance on the weekend was dismal and uncharacteristic - surely there won't be a repeat, especially in dry conditions. I guarantee they turn up to play on Friday night. And to be honest, I hope they do.
