EXACTLY!

I can't believe some of the shit getting thrown Hoffman's way. From all accounts, he wants to leave to play in a position he enjoys - if he's stuck here and he's not enjoying his footy and has a chance to go somewhere else where he can enjoy playing, why shouldn't he take that opportunity?

I'm not sure ....why don't we ask Corey Norman?

If he just wanted to leave to take home a bigger cheque, by all means, bag him out. But it seems to me that's he's just doing something many other people would in their life, in whatever profession they're in.

Because he's contracted for to more years and 'but I wanna play fullback :'(' isn't a get out clause.

My main issue is that we keep hearing what a good team man he is which he obviously isn't.

If he wants to go then just go I really don't care just stop the shit through the media that his manager is doing, which I have no doubt he is aware of

The people who say this is all media hype are very naive.

We all know if a player doesn't come out and deny reports like this straight up, it's more than likely true.
And even if they do deny it, it's still often true.

But again, Hoffman and his management are due to negotiate a pay increase for the next two seasons as part of the new TV deal and cap increases. And we can't underestimate the lengths managers/players will go to squeeze maximum dollars out of clubs.

Well this might be the nail in the coffin.

God, some footballers have to be the most juvenile people going. Guess you can't expect much from Bulldogs players...

Can't see anything mate, what's it say?

It's a picture on Frank Pritchards instagram of him, Hoffman and Kasiano saying "would be great to see this bloke at the blue and white #releasehim #fullback let's make it happen"

I know I will get caned by most for this but I don't want him to play again for us, I'm not interested in putting up with this sort of garbage from any player, let alone a glorified winger. The only thing I want to see the broncos do now is issue a statement saying that his released. Then call him and tell him they've cleared out his locker and he can pick up his shit at the front.

So does anyone still think he isn't behind this and he wants to stay?

His gone mentally and quite frankly if there was nothing to it he would have said something by now, he doesn't want to be here, show him the door, let him have his little tantrum elsewhere.

As harsh as it is to say, I really want him to piss off to the Bulldogs, and then spectacularly fail at fullback. Watch the Bulldogs do worse than us as we laugh all the way to the bank with Barba.

Better yet, move him to the wing.

This reminds me of the way the bulldogs fans treated Barba. Lets just thank him for his great footy where he won 3 broncos back of the year awards in 4 years, thank him for the wonderful service, and wish him luck.
I'm sorry, but you cannot compare a player looking to leave a club because of valid family reasons (Barba wanting to be with his kids, Milford closer to his sick father), and a player whom as good as he has been for us, is throwing a tantrum because he thinks he's a great fullback or too good to be a "mere winger", and is putting himself ahead of the team.

While I respect and thank Josh for what he has done for us, I also think he can go **** himself with his self absorbed delusions!

Yeah, but Hoffman never got up to the trouble Barba did either and derail an entire start of a season due to his inability to keep his shit together.

Doesn't surprise me though, for whatever reason, fans have always taken the first chance they can get to rag on Hoffman.

Didn't he admit to effectively tanking a season? Barba made mistakes yes, but every indication since joining the Broncos has been a positive one.

Doesn't surprise me though, for whatever reason, fans have always taken the first chance they can get to rag on Hoffman.

Some have but they don't represent the majority, others like myself came out in support of him, prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, evidence continued to build that faith is becoming more and more misplaced. Then you see images like that and lack of any effort on Hoffman's part to deny the rumours and really what do you expect? Fans to enjoy a slap in the face for that? Players get moved in positions they don't necessarily want to play, If Wally can be moved to Lock to make way for Kevin Walters, Lockyer back to 5/8th cause the side needs a playmaker, Berrigan to play anywhere from centre, 5/8th, halfback, hooker etc, Gene Miles from the centres to the backrow, hell even Sam Thaiday plays prop without a whinge, what makes Hoffman exempt from doing whats best for the team that pays his bills?

I'm not trying to bag Hoffman.

I just want people playing for the Broncos who actually want to be there.

And people who take photos with rival clubs players with hashtags like that obviously don't care about our club.

He should have just come out and been honest and said;

"Yes, I have asked for release. I am very great-full for everything the Broncos have done for me. Unfortunately, I see myself as a career fullback and the club is moving in another direction."
