2014 Broncos Season

Anyone else worried about how small that forward pack is?

Not really, I think size is largely overrated in the modern game unless they are both large AND skillful or quick.

Fair enough...

I just thought last year we got destroyed by teams with genuine size, which was a driving factor behind recruiting Kennedy.

You're right.

You need a big pack to win the comp. Small forwards just don't get the job done anymore.

Small blokes just get stood over.

Our best pack

8 Hannant
9 McCullough
10 Kennedy
11 Thaiday
12 Glenn
13 Parker

bench
14 Maguire
15 Gillett

I understand the concept, but McGuire is the best prop we've got at the moment, he might be a couple of inches shorter than Hannant, but he probably runs twice as hard.

Happy to start with Moose over Hannant.

Think Kennedy has to be a starter.

I still think we're a power runner short. Ideally, your two props and at least one second rower make the hard yards up the middle. Think we're missing that yardage eating second rower.

I agree that we're still missing some starch in attack from the forwards we've got .

This talk of Fifita moving from the sharks. It'd be great to have someone like him in the pack.

Now Sam Burgess is leaving the Bunnies, I wonder if we could lure one of the twins up here?

Fifitas asking price is ridiculous though ... he has been offered 750k+ by several of the Sydney teams. and if Souths meet that price, they may have to offload one of the Burgess clan. and they will come a hell of a lot cheaper than that

If they were to sign one of the Burgess boys, I would prefer it to be George. Or Luke. Luke seems to be the most calm headed out of the lot. However, George is a very strong boy and a very strong runner. He is very hard to stop as we all saw last season.

luke is the worst of the lot.

they already offloaded sam burgess at the end of the season hence going after fifita.

croker and asotasi leaving probably free'd up a bit more cash too.

Tom would be the cheapest and was supposedly better than George in Pommie land

Don't need more forwards imo. Need backs and halves

Yeah we don't need a forward. We need to.use the forwards we have better.
