FWIW, my pet peeve is when people write "should of" or "would of", instead of "should have" and "would have". Just saying...

As to the game, despite the fact we have Hoggman disrupting a lot of the Broncos attack, I think we did a good job of keeping the pressure on the Titans and earning repeat sets until we broke them with some Hodgo magic.

Our left side however is so far behind our right, it's not funny.

COMPOUND FRACTURE, would you like an infraction to go with that bait?

Too true. Not to continue the lynching of Hoffy, but it's another credible arguement for his shifting to the wing. Last year it was our left edge that was our best weapon.

"As to the game" is incorrect tense, just like, "should of" and, "would of". You should say, "As for the game", indicating past tense, not future tense, as, "to" would indicate. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.. Just having a dig!

Just on that almost try from Barba still, it was only desperate defense from Mead coming across that stopped Barba really. Otherwise he was over. The guy he got on the outside of was Paul Carter. Carter JUST grabbed his jersey, which slowed him enough for Mead to smother the ball. Pretty soon those will turn into tries, line breaks and try assists.

Although he is a Titan what does everyone think of Paul Carter?

I think this kid has a big future in front of him. Strong, willing to take the line on, tough defender and has the ability to offload in gang tackles.

Seemed okay to me. Nothing standout at this point in time. Reminds me of a Tariq Sims kind of player. Still only 21 years old.

I thought Carter was one of the best on the field.

Really enjoys giving it to Corey Parker and has rattled him with a couple of big hits in recent times. Ran hard and was always looking for an offload, although there was one occasion where he should have just held onto it and put Srama under all sorts.

Takairangi was also impressive for them.

On the other hand, Beau Henry was probably the most detestable player on the paddock.

Takairangi was made to look better by Reed and Vidot. Vidot coming in off Don for Don's try to tackle Takairangi was junior level stuff; always stay on the outside of your man. To be fair to Vidot though, Reed's sliding defense has been questionable in recent times.

Yes but that was just one play.

Takairangi has one of the best offloads in the game and made a couple of smart plays in both attack and defence.

My supercoach team is enjoying him immensely (despite on the bench with 66 points last night FML)

Also as to the english argument before, mine is pronounciation-based: 'Arks' instead of 'ars-k'. I ALWAYS correct people.

Watching games live I think the people sitting around me are becoming annoyed with my incessant shouting of 'Pass it Hoffy!' followed closely by a 'For ****'s sake!' when he inevitably gets tackled with the ball.
So until he goes to the wing, I propose we start calling Hoffman 'Vortex'. passes only come in, none go out the other side.

Flattering scoreline. Quiet game from Macca, forwards just still aren't up to scratch and won't be so long as Griffinball continues to be used 95% of the time. However I did notice forwards like Parker and occasionally Lowrie passing before the line trying to spread it but of course where would it end up?.

Barba is getting better, slowly but surely.

Coppers is going great guns, but wasted on the wing. The only thing keeping him there is his partnership with Hodgo and Reed's 'undroppable' tag. Hunt's game was decent. Nothing spectacular and he should be allowed those games occasionally however with Vortex doing sweet FA, we see more of his miscued kicks and the like, leading to more 'average games'.

Vidot is doing awesome hit-ups but is not getting the attack options as he has Hoffman, Reed and Glenn as his inside men. He deserves better for all the work he does at our end of the field.

Still annoyed Griffin didn't have the balls to keep his lineup the same and instead used a lock as a prop. A lock who needs to work on his goal-kicking. I want to know why Hunt got demoted after his first miss. It was from the sideline after all. How many does Corey hit from there? I hope there is a succession plan in place for this year at some point

Parker passed the ball more last night than Hoffman has all season.

As for Vidot, he looked fairly damaging getting ball in attack too, but it just so rarely happens with Hoffman in the halves and Hunt mostly being a right side player.

Vidot, he rarely gets stopped in his tracks. He is always dragging players along and he is always a handful to bring down. Why can't Hoffman recognize that and put him one on one with his opposite?

Why can't Griffin recognize that and put him on the right where he would get some more quality ball.

It's frustrating. We have one of the most strongest wingers in the game and he is not being used the way he should be. He is pretty much just playing as an extra forward..

Although, I do have one criticism of Vidot. Last night, he was out of position a couple of times in attack. Reed had no one to pass it to. I'm unsure if he was playing the ball, but I'm pretty sure a couple of times there he was just walking behind the play the ball and not on his wing..

Vidot looks like a back rower playing on the wing. For mine, he is too bulky and not very mobile. He runs like a forward. I don't see much footwork or swerve.

He makes great metres, strong and tough .. but how quick is he? His defensive lapse was terrible, but then that is a pet hate of mine - winger leaving their position.

Also, unlike Copley he hasn't shown me any creativity. Still, I am not questioning his value to make the hard yards on kick returns and he doesn't really get much quality ball on the end of some good plays. What side does he play? Oh, the left hand side ... that's right, of course!

Hunt is such a scheming player, once he gets his decision making and timing aligned, look out world!!

I think I posted that I wouldn't mind seeing Copley and Vidot swap wings (assuming Reed keeps being selected). Vidot has always been a right side player, and Copley can swap with Reed in attack often, which he wouldn't do with Hodges.

On the other hand he's not going to be getting much ball on the left...

I'm still mad that there were people who thought this was a good idea.
