I wonder if Oates played for NSW, would everyone still be saying he was solid?

Didn't really think much of his game tonight. Made a few good runs, came up with errors. Barely used on the left side though and overran a play when they attacked down the left side. Can't remember which minute that was.

Not blaming the refs for the loss but I thought the Maroons got some leniency in the rucks and a couple of other decisions went their way.

LMAO

Love the not blaming the refs etc, then you add a but.

The shocking decisions went both ways.

Clearly forward, but to be fair, forwards passes very rarely get called anyway so it is not surprising.

Hope NSW pick fucking Adam Reynolds again. I remember there was an article about his kicking game, praising how all but one of his try assists were from kicks. That just means he's a fucking shit ball player you retards. He had no idea. Moylan was the most threatening, but he looked shaky at the back a bit.

Matt Gillett scored 34 tries tonight according to channel 9. Clear man of the match in that case.

What a try scoring machine.

He was better than Ferguson and roughly the same as Mansour IMO, so solid I guess. I probably wouldn't be impressed with if he was a NSW player, but we all know what he's capable of and he didn't pull a Hodges, so I'll go with solid.

Reynolds kicked well and forced some repeat sets. He will get better.

Johnathan Thurston, in his 34th Origin game, inside the final quarter came up with two fantastic kicks that went a long way to the Maroons victory tonight.

I was asked recently why you'd carry players like Lockyer and JT if they were defensive liabilities and could cost you more tries than they'd set up.

It's plays like that which showcase JT's brilliance.

Thaiday you legend.

Reynolds overall had the best short kicking game by far. However, his forwards got him in to the position to place those kicks, and even with all those repeat sets he could not lay on any points.

Reynolds was meh.

I wasn't very worried about him, to be honest. I was more worried about Maloney.

Was a dull and boring game. I wish the teams would use the ball more. I hate these low scoring Origin arm wrestles. Perhaps they need to reduce the interchange for Origin even more. They need to try things to open the game up more.

To me though Reynolds brought an effective kicking game to the team which was his job. If only he kicked that conversion the game could've been very different (hurts me to say it). He forced some repeat sets and showed he has the ability to perform in Origin. He gets a pass mark from me.

A half needs to do more than just kick a ball.

He has shown he can kick a ball, but did not show he can produce points despite the many chances NSW had on QLD's line. That's more of a fail than a pass.

I don't know why so many people are saying it was dull and boring.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. I love these close games in Origin. It gets the heart racing and the blood flowing.
