Reynolds looked really average to me. He did not look like he belonged at that level. I think Hodkinson is a better player than Reynolds.

I don't know why so many people are saying it was dull and boring.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. I love these close games in Origin. It gets the blood flowing.

The play from both teams was so conservative. And with the defence being so good from both teams - there was little open play. I want to see the players show their talent, take risks and use the ball. Spread the ball with a cut out or two inside our own 20m, try a chip and chase or a short grubber once in a while. Have a go for goodness sake/play some footy.

6-4 ... no thanks. Everything was so one-dimensional from both teams.

Remember there was only 2 points in it. If Reynolds kicked that conversion the game could've easily been different. Anything can happen in Rugby League and the Blues aren't going up to Brisbane destroyed. There was nothing in that game.

And if JT converts, we are back to where we started, with Qld 2 in front.

There wasn't anything in the game, but how the nsw press carries on is hilarious. There is always an excuse for the serial losers as to why they lost and they rarely give Qld any credit. Blaming the refs is a joke. They lost because they weren't good enough to win on the night. Simple as that

The QLD right side needs needs some serious attention to their defense. That was by far the scariest thing last night, NSW just kep ripping them apart down there.

I couldn't even deal though. I think my heart stopped about 12 times. What a game.

I'm looking forward to the replay, my first viewing. I was able to stream 2 gb for the second half..sure sounded like qld would crack..must have been the refs tripping nswelshmen and making tackles that saved us !

I thought the script read that Qld we're going to be overrun by a younger and bigger rampaging forward pack. I thought our defense up the middle was superb. Some excellent leg tackling ,which hurts the big guys more then the high stuff. Really good win. So good to see Daley so sulky after the match. He really thinks NSW have a right to get every 50/50 call.

If Matty Johns or Beau Ryan said it they'd all still be laughing.

Well, I've just seen the 'try' that Nsw scored and they now have absolutely no reason to blame the refs ! The only points scored by them came from a stone cold forward pass.....looked close to a metre forward and not a sound uttered from the commentary team.

That call in the 66th minute to overturn the decision and give QLD the scrum. I've been looking at it trying to see why they did.

Then I saw it.

It touches Cordner's left hand before it touches O'Neill. You can see the flick of the fingers. That only happens when the ball touches them.

But I'm curious how they could overturn that and not the one earlier when it was very clear Gagai didn't knock on.

Spot on. I must have called for the Broncos and the Maroons to do that a dozen times in the past, so much more effective against the giant front rowers and like you said, likely to sting them much more than up high.

I was on the edge of my seat as well but only cos of the close scores, but I still think it was a dull and boring game.

There was, as even Thurston said, hardly any bloody ball movement by Qld, no sweeping backline plays other than Gagai's try and I find arm wrestles dull. I want to see flowing ball movements as much as the big hits. All last night was was a grind. I reckon if Morgan wasn't injured, he and Thurston would have contributed another 10 points. There was one run by Morgan where he just took off that had me salivating ... then he got hurt. Bugger.

For mine, exciting cos of the close scoreline, the superb Qld defence but otherwise, boring as hell

Or the Reynolds strip.

I'd rather Qld play boring and conservative and win, than take risks and lose. Every day for a million years.

It is unbelievable that the boys kept them out. It really is.

Long shot, but does anyone have a clip of the exchange between Gould and Vautin after the game? It was hilarious.

Vautin: "If NSW pick the same 17 again, they'll be beaten again"
Gould: "They weren't beaten tonight"
Vautin: -Pause- "6 to 4.."
