Hunt Signs with St George Illawarra

Good luck to him. He's made the right choice for he and his.

Maybe the change of scenery will allow him to develop further, because it seemed like he stagnated here.

Had hoped we could keep him but that is big $. Can hardly blame him for chasing it, especially on as long as that deal is rumoured to be. He may well be better in some ways getting away from Brisbane, he's going to have his detractors here for quite some time yet.

As much as I like him, we can't be throwing that kind of $ around. Unfortunately I'm not sure how we'll go this year if he has an eye on the door already. Rather we didn't release him early though.

Will set us back a bit in the short term. No one comparable really on the market right now. Something will come up, just a question of when.

You want quality, you need to pay what its worth.

We going to be bottom 8 for quite a few years.

Oh yeah he'll still be here.

I just can't conceive of a single good option as halfback for our squad.

Maybe Kodi will be that guy.. he has re-signed.. why do that if you're not viewed long term by the club?

Hoping Hunt does the honourable thing, and gives his all in his last year with us.

Or which top flight half are we going to sign for the peanuts that we are going to offer (800 for a half is peanuts with the salary cap increase).

The player we sign doesn't have to be better.

He just has to be a good fit. Someone that can take pressure off Milford and allow him to flourish.

Sort of like a Shane Perry...

It worked for the Sharks.

sad to see him go. i love him as player and person. i really hope for his sake he doest ruin his career with this move.

at that kind of coin he will be under enormous pressure whenever the dragons perform poorly. and unfortunately for benny he does not seem to perform well under pressure.

really hope it works out for him though really is a top bloke and none of us would turn down that coin either it sets u up for life
