Its been said before, but where will he fit in? He plays a similar role to Milf in that he runs the ball and plays what he see's in front of him. He's not a organizing or controlling half.

I think the play might be to offer Tyrone Roberts a 1 year deal. Has potential to be a decent halves partner for Milford, whilst not hindering our aspirations of signing a marquee Halfback for 2019.

The reason I suggest Roberts is a few things -

A) Realistic target, will be looking for a starting job for 2018

B) Will be pretty cheap

C) Increases likelihood of James Roberts sticking around

I like the look of that side. Watching Aubbo at the moment, I reckon Bird could do a similar sort of job on the fringes - like G Stewart used to provide for Manly - if we play him in the second row or lock. Bird is obviously better quality than Aubbo/ Stewart, so it'd add another dimension for our attack if it clicks.

All we need from T. Roberts or some other HB is a good kicking game. Milford and Bird will play a similar sort of role in attack.

Yeah, I think it's a hard decision that needs to be made. He just doesn't offer anything that someone younger and cheaper couldn't offer.
