Round 11 Discussion

NRL are desperate to get the Panthers into the semis

I still laugh that they're the backdrop for the NRL tipping site. If it has to be a team, shouldn't it at least be the reigning Premiers?

Bullshit.

Couldn't see anything from that replay.

Video ref helping the Roosters again (ref the 2 stupid decisions made by the video ref to give the two tries to Ferguson).

I don't know why the Bulldogs continually go for the short drop out ... they suck at it

The footage we see isn't the only angle the bunker is looking at.

Gee this Mitchell & Tupou combination is something special.

The Sydney Roosters are in some form at the moment. I know the Bulldogs haven't put up a lot of resistance, but they were switched on and the Roosters have just taken whatever momentum they've had.

I agree 100% with Gus. While there's a significant gap between their best and their worst, they've shown signs that they can be a premiership winning side.

The Bulldogs are such a boring team to watch. I'm tuning out, will resume with the Melbourne game. At least they have some talent, and I care about the result.

Who have they played?

Hint they have only beaten one top right side (Dragons in the game where the dragons lost Widdop).

Haven't played the sharks, storm, cowboys etc.....good at beating bottom 8 sides. Soft draw thus far.

That's fine, but they've produced better football than other teams who have had a similar draw.

The Roosters are really shaping as that side which can put a big score on you but if things start to go awry I don't think there is much there.
That's not to say they can't improve but they're more flash than substance at the moment. They were on fire on the left side in the first half and could have scored another 2 tries but once the dogs got back in the game they looked very beatable.

They have an issue on the left side with Latrell Mitchell in that he is soft (young I know) and their right side is lacking in attack.
Good entertaining side to watch but not premiership material this year.

Rooster have the best team on paper, but they can be really dumb, and really poor defenders sometimes.

Rocket man playing in the background.

God these event organisers pick some terrible music for the footy.

They've still got some ways to go, but I see more in Sydney than I do in a lot of other sides. Not a lot of teams have hit that gear the Roosters have and the scary thing is they still have improvement left in them.

Not a lot of teams have hit that gear yet this year. The only teams that have really impressed me have been Melbourne, Sydney and dare I say Manly.

Not a song you play at the footy, though.

I hate that we play 'In the Air Tonight' before every kick off. We play the Broncos theme as they run out which is loud and a quick-ish tempo straight into a snoozefest that only occasionally times the drum fill to kick off. It's such a buzzkill
