Dargan is close to selection. WB is thinking it's time but Dargan needs a big two weeks to convince WB to tell Nikorima that he, Nikorima is injured. Please let this be true. Milford needs to mature overnight and really run the team . It might help if he decides to tell the rest just what their jobs are and what he's planning and to have a fucking plan to explain to them.

His kick for Shibasaki try was brilliant on the weekend. Controlled the last 20 minutes when Norths needed him.

Niko provides better impact off the bench.

Staggs is probably the player I like watching the most currently after Oates, but I do agree Niko offers another dimension from the bench. Don't actually think Kotoni had much impact at all yesterday tbh ( not that anyone else did either ) and I thought he should have made more of an effort to run interference on vunivalu when he scored his try. Staggs does offer a lot more versatility than Niko though.

1. Darius Boyd
2. Corey Oates
3. James Roberts
4. Jordan Kahu
5. Jamayne Isaako
6. Anthony Milford
7. Kodi Nikorima
8. Matthew Lodge
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Sam Thaiday
11. Alex Glenn
12. Jaydn Su'A
13. Josh McGuire

14. Patrick Mago
15. Joe Ofahengaue
16. Tevita Pangai Junior
17. Kotoni Staggs

This is likely going to be the side.

I would like to see TPJ move to the left second row and Glenn off the bench. Dargan in for Niko and Niko added to the bench as an impact player.

NRL.com has Bird due back this round ... i wonder where he will fit in ... possible the bench in place of Mago

Likely Staggs, but I don't think he will play this weekend.

That doesn't mean anything, they don't have an inside knowledge of any club's sick bay. If he is fit, he should come straight into HB and keep him there for a few weeks. If Niko can stink up the position for 25 games then a proven champion should be allowed a transition period.

Didn’t someone say this exact line 2 WEEKS AGO about Dargan?? Put him in now or we might as well forget this year.

I can't see Wayne changing a thing with the squad this season. Even rugby league casuals scratch their heads at nikorima playing at half back. But grandmaster coach thinks niko is the only option.

I say once again what was the point of buying Dargan?

Sharks are a gritty team. They grind you down and beat you with sheer will, then when you crack, they pile on the points.

We need to be switched on otherwise they will flog us.

Maybe he isn't ready and Bennett is doing the right thing by him. Even though we are desperate for an option throwing him in too early could ruin him.

This.

From what I've been hearing, he has been inconsistent in the QLD Cup. I'm not entirely sure as I haven't been watching him, but that's what I've been hearing.

Maybe this is a little harsh on Dargan but does it matter if we ruin him? We didn't develop him and we have bigger wraps on Boyd/Paix anyway.

I don't see how it would ruin him if WB had half the patience with him that he has with Kodi, unless he has a very fragile psychology, which is doubtful given his history.
Back the youngster through the initial phase where he will undoubtedly have good and bad moments, and don't drop him unless he is showing no effort and/or completely bombing it repeatedly. I doubt he would be worse than Kodi.

Have always admired ruthlessness and lack of mercy in people. If I said I would shed tears for him I would be lying through my teeth.
