So next week we have our first week where we have all players to pick from provided the Jet is right. Will be interesting to see which forwards Siebs drops. Offa was great last year, but this year he's looking very much a park footy player.

The spine is still the problem. With the forwards it was disappointing. Offa was absolutely lazy, lodge error ridden. Fleger brought great energy as did Su’A. Why they got such little minutes is a joke. Carrigan brought nothing more in his short stint so why bother. Su’A looked good at lock actually. Haas was excellent. The team as a whole is in trouble.

This is seriously uncharted territory, I've never seen a Broncos team lose games like this in my entire time as a fan.

Seibold has pretty much inherited this roster, so there's not a whole lot of blame that can go to him apart from his interchange use, which has been nearly as bad as Bennett's last year, Carrigan should've come on earlier and shouldn't have gone off, I have no idea why Ofahengaue keeps getting second stints, his second stints have cost us 2 games by my calculations, he's that out of shape he is incapable of making tackles in the second half of games, absolutely shocking and deserves to be dropped because of his match fitness.

Also, we need to seriously start considering measuring players intelligence levels before we sign them, I know that might sound harsh, but I think 1-17 we have the stupidest team in the NRL. These guys lack so much situational awareness and collective reasoning in clutch situations that it's almost impressive how many incorrect decisions they make per game. We could have the most talented team in the competition, but without intelligence, we're not going anywhere. Look at our opposition tonight, they're not talented, they're a bog average roster with intelligent game managers, Farah, Brooks, Reynolds, they know what to do and where to put their team to win footy games week after week, everything they do has thought and preparation behind it. Everything our halves do has absolutely no cohesion, training or planing by the looks of it, these guys have taken their "X-Factor" label quite literally and seemingly have no interest in forming or working to a game plan that can reliably win us football games.

All I can say to Seibold is good luck, because this team needs a complete overhaul if we want to win a premiership, or 4-5 years of completely reinstalling the way they play football on a fundamental level.

He didn't inherit it , he chose to come here. What a cop out, heaps of coaches take over teams and do fine. It's not like he took over a wooden spoon team for **** sake.

Bird was shit too. 2 dropped balls and looked terrible in defence, they got around him so easily. Ended up with the most missed tackles too.

Did anyone else feel uncomfortable when Bird ran behind half the team, ball outstretched in one hand, until it led to a try? Terrific kick by Isaako to put Gillett away. He got that much right.

Been saying this since Lockyer retired, and it is on the club's head that this absolutely critical issue hasn't been sorted yet.

Mate, every team struggles with replacing a player that influential. Eels haven’t done it in 30 years, Newcastle is only just coming out of the other side now.

And we finished equal 3rd last year. The only difference this year is the young guys are a year older and we have a beast in Haas and a great player in Bird available. Roster wise we are stronger than last year.

This is the worst loss so far this year. We really should have won this but the errors were just too much. Piss poor defence too.

And Macca. He's got no sense of the game at all. For the love of Lockyer, get someone else in.
I can’t handle losing as it is but losing and bringing a tear to Locky’s eye is heartbreaking.

We did get beaten by the wooden spoon team last year though I’m pretty sure.

I think TPJ is still suspended fir another week

I think the problem Seibs is finding out now is that sure he can give this team a gameplan but quite frankly the 1,6,7,9 just aren't up to or smart enough to execute it.

This is a dumb team and that's why Bennett's simple gameplan sort of worked.

For those who stuck around for the post game (I’m guessing there weren’t many tonight). You would have seen a visibly distressed Darren Lockyer struggle to form any sort of coherent question to ask Kodi. He is clearly so baffled/disgusted in the lack of leadership and organisation in this team, and tonight he just couldn’t hide it.

that's just how locky talks lol. he isn't the most articulate fella in front of a camera.

I said it last week, but I can't believe that we didn't sign Moses when we had the chance. He's playing better than halves getting paid a mil. I know it doesn't solve our on field leadership, but he's been the best half available over the past five years and we turned down an opportunity to sign him and stuck with Niko at HB. Beyond dumb.

Now is the time to be aggressive in the player market. With Seggy looking likely to sign with the Sharks (again) we can and should throw huge dollars at Brailey. That solves one spine spot. Next up is going hard at Moses again or Gutho. I understand Izzy is an idiot, but imagine him at the back compared to Boyd. That's a signing the rorters would make in our position, and they'd make it happen this year.
