No argument there, worded that poorly. My issue isn't with him at all, he seems like a fairly humble bloke. I actually should have said peoples expectations of him just got brought back down to Earth. In the lead up to the game, it's like the media and some fans thought he could and would win the game single handed.

He adapted to the conditions poorly. If it’s a fast track he’s the best player in the game.

Mmmmm, some of this seems okay, on the surface at least and might be spot on too. You say you're glad he's not coach of the Broncos yet do you believe we'd be thirteenth and sliding if given the reigns this year? I know that's not really a fair question as it's impossible to answer with anything that makes sense yet I can't help feel as though an old school coach might have been what we needed.
As you said hypothetical, but I do believe we would be much better off this year. Maybe borderline top 8ish, hard to say for sure. However, it'd either be a steady decline or much the same year after year. He appears to me to be super reactive and not proactive with little thought given to the future. Just seems that way, I could be wrong. He also appears to buckle to media pressure very easily, which at the broncos is a major component of the job. For all seibolds bad points these are areas that he seems to be strong in. I truly believe if we stick with him we will see the benefits, but I could be wrong, no one knows.i just know it was worth a shot, more of the same and delaying the pain would just me another 10 years without a premiership at least

The season was over when we signed seibold last year

Slater at 21 tho?

Ponga is a dead set freak, anyone who thinks otherwise doesn’t know fucking anything
And milford was better than cronk at 18 years old. So what? Comparing at the same age means nothing, they should have to prove themselves before the media, fans and the player himself believe they are a future immortal

One average game and now Ponga is overrated.......seriously?

Urg. Titans, then Eels, then Origin. Rough month for Brisbane fans.

C'mon ...need a GOOD game to wash the taste away. If we get put away again, I think I'll can my Kayo for the year and come back in 2020.

Not sure what that has to do with what I said tbh. However, if he is in fact The League God made flesh as some media and supporters would have us believe, he would have adapted to said conditions.

Look, as I said in the post you quoted, I have no issue with him and think he'll have a long rep career. In fact, I'd give me left nut (the large one) to have him at the Broncos...but the media in particular are talking about him like he's already penciled in as an Immortal.

The media always seems to have their favourite players, and I dunno why, but it makes us fans hate them more, even if the players aren't actually talking themselves up or anything. Thurston and Slater are good examples, the media performed full on fellatio on them constantly and a lot of fans got angry about it, started giving them shit if they didn't have a ripper of a game, but all those players did was try hard for their teams.

Basically, **** the media.

Knights to miss Glasby, though Ponga (cork) will back up while Pearce and Klemmer are a strong chance to return.
Ofahengaue and Haas both slated to return while McCullough firming to start.

I know what you mean, although I wasn't actually giving Ponga shit. Johns was a perfect example of what you're describing, at least for me. The guy could touch the ball once at the start of a set, a simple one out pass. A couple of passes and tackles later they would score, without Johns touching the ball again btw, the commentators "All started by Johns there, brilliant play" Obviously I'm exaggerating a little, but you get my point. Johns was one of the best I've ever seen but the constant deep throating from the commentary team was just shithouse
