At about RD5 and was mentioned that they weren't expecting to much. Youngsters, players getting moved on and positions getting sorted. It's a transition year , that's why they wanted Bennett gone so it could start sooner rather than later. If it works well, we will just have to wait I guess.

Well I’d like to know when they think it will start working.

Having watched the presser makes me think that Seibold did have a game plan that could've made us compete (if not walkaway with a win) with the cheater grubs but was disgust with the way we turned up.

Some of the things Seibold must've disappointed with(including mine) but not implemented as per his game plan are:

1. Joffa hasn't been performing to his potential since Origin. I reckon he isn't fully recovered from his knee injury or it's been playing on his mind and not making him play his potential.
2. After the scuffle with Dane.F grub, I honestly thought Lodge would fire up which in-turn would make all our mob to fire up but that wasn't the case. To my utter surprise, Lodge gone cold and so did our mob.
3. Our forward passes & slow play the ball were scrutinized but not the cheater grubs. They were given total free hand.
4. Boyd & Macca has to go but not as per our hierarchy. (I so much wish MaCca looses his right arm for the next 1 year & Boyd gets a career ending injury like Y.Yeah).
5. Our right edge needs to be lot better than a butter edge. Isaako and Staggs has to be lot better.
6.
7.
8.
.
.
.
Seibold (& us) have plenty of issues to overcome but only hope that they get resolved overnight. Injuries to key players are rubbing on salt for our misery.

I honestly believe Seibold do know what he's doing and he absolutely do need support from the board (in sending a goodbye to Boyd & McCa) AND be given a free hand in the team he wants. I think Seibold is a man with a vision and I so wish we get the results out of it very soon.

I want our own dynasty to be re-built again where everyone's scared of playing us (starting cheater grubs). I foresee Mighty Broncos get back to back to back premierships.

BRONCOS DO NOT FOLLOW THE TREND. BRONCOS SET THE TREND!!!

Who knows, more players could be moved on and more players signings made in the off season. We could end up in a world of hurt or we could be the best, that's the issue with what we've done. No one knows what will happen .

Gould is right you know.

Seibold wants to make statements like other Broncos teams have been lapped by the Storm. Yes, that's true Seibs but we care about NOW, what are YOU doing to change the teams mentality and culture? Stop deflecting and accept responsibility.
Phil Gould slams Anthony Seibold over Storm’s rout of Broncos

Phil Gould was critical of Broncos coach Anthony Seibold shifting the blame for his side’s loss to the Storm.

Phil Gould has slammed the Broncos after their demoralising loss to the Storm and has questioned coach Anthony Seibold’s reaction to the horror loss.

The Broncos suffered a humiliating 40-4 loss last night at Suncorp Stadium and Gould believes Seibold’s approach to the loss is not helping his side’s bid to play finals football.

“They haven’t won a title since 2006, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to be playing finals footy this year either, let alone win the competition,” Gould told Maquarie Sports Radio.

“It just seems like an extraordinary drought for a club that has had such an advantage over other clubs in terms of recruitment and retention.

“I really thought this was a nice, up and coming roster and I believe they have their best footy in front of them, but last night was a fairly meek demise at the end of the game.”

Gould also took aim at some questionable comments from coach Anthony Seibold that he believes are contributing to the mental state of his players.

“As I said to the guys they (Storm) are the benchmark, they are the best in the competition,” Seibold said.

“We got lapped by them by 36 points so that’s how far we’ve got to go. We are not the first Broncos team to get beat by 40 points by the Storm.

What I saw last night at the game was a bunch of largely inexperienced kids up against a big and fast well drilled Rugby League team fine tuning for a grand final appearance.

Make no mistake, this is directly the result of a decade of incompetence by our recruitment and retention department nothing more. We either sit back and wait till experience is gained or go to the market and buy some.

Preferably sourced by our 'new' recruitment and retention department.

Totally agree with you, talent galore in this side but its rudderless. The guys in the side that should be bringing experience and authority are taking the piss out there.

A spine of SoS/Dearden/Turpin & Milford won't do anything to alleviate that next year. This club should have gone after Pearce when it had the opportunity.

Fair enough, can you expand though?
Was this said in the media, behind closed doors, context?
I'd be a bit disappointed if the boss said in the media, "We don't do rebuilding years at the Broncos" if he knew that that's exactly what we're doing.
White was the one who said it during a presser.

Why did he stop there? He should have blamed the refs too for allowing all those forward passes to go unchecked.

If that’s true it doesn’t give me any confidence.
It sounds like in moving on from Bennett we are at risk of things going from ordinary to worse.

Bro, nice humble brag there lol
Gotta look for anything positive at this point hey.

From what I hear Vuni was allowed to elbow Boyd in front of the ref and got nothing for it, same as his unnecessary cheap shoulder on Kodi and god knows what others, and Finucane got to clock Lodge without consequence too. At what point should Seibold/White be formally protesting to the NRL that our players are being hit with illegal shots without anything being done?

I respect Gould and his opinion, but he doesn't appreciate how mediocre we've been since Wayne first left the club and it's going to take a while for that rot to be cleared. It's a mindset that has gradually been instilled in the playing group by that post-Wayne generation of players (Hunt, Macca, etc). None of those blokes are leaders and we don't have Locky, Hodges, or Parker around to steer them around the field. The club gambled on them big time and it didn't work. I suspect the storm will suffer a similar fate when Smith retires although the NRL can't really let them wallow in mediocrity for too long otherwise they'll end up like the Titans and be heading for the abyss due to their fan base consisting of, for the most part, plastic bandwagoners.

If I wanted to go at him hard I'd point out his success with Penrith and the fact that I could have probably coached that rorters side he won the comp with + the NSW side that had Johns etc in it.

He just had to throw in that line about us supposedly getting more advantages than every other team recruitmentwise. **** thinks it's still 1995 or something.

What about the storm playing out of the second biggest city in Australia with no pressure because, despite sustained success for 20 years, no one cares about RL in the city? As a guy in his mid-20s I can tell you that heaps of people my age are obsessed with Melbourne for whatever reason (I think it’s a dump compared to Sydney and Brisbane) and plan to move there or have done so. The storm have a massive leg up with young kids in that regard. They also theoretically have exclusive access to the entire Victorian region for jrs, it’s their fault that they have camped themselves in qld and don’t bother to promote the game in their own state.

.

The fat **** should be questioning:

1. Why the cheaters infringement around the play the ball was violated?
2. Why the **** the forward passes from the grubs were let go?
3. Why Dale Fuckin.F didn't get reported for his discretion?
4. Why there was no penalty against grubs in the final 7 seconds?
5. Why were the Broncos always penalized when no fault of theirs &

Most Importantly,

How & Why the **** did I.Cleary was let go when he clearly stipulated the rules by abusing refs?

Are you fuckin blind you fat ****? Don't you know what's white & what's black? Because of your Panther grubs, you reckon everything's black but not white?

Look at your own fuckin fat ass before you look at others you dumb **** moran.

Because the media loves the storm organisation and the nrl want them successful because they think victorians give a shit about RL. Put it this way, AFL is probably more popular in Brisbane than NRL is in Melbourne and that’s saying something because most people I know dislike AFL
