Was happy when milf went to fullback (100% on Boyd)but missing his 5/8 game. We have really weakened other positions to accommodate Boyd. Stupid thing is membership and crowd attendance would probably go up without him so don’t know why we persist.... but if we have to Milf back to 6
Turpin 9, Macca 7 , Boyd centre and maybe Coates to 1

Milford might have a decent running game in broken play, but I'm here to tell you he is NOT a Fullback.

He lacks the size, strength & most importantly the work rate of a modern day Fullback. This experiment needs to end immediately, we're a better side with him in the 6.

You might be right
He does seem to be struggling with upping his work rate to the level it needs to be to really nail it like Tedesco or TTurbo.
Maybe it is too big a stretch now that 3 years have passed maybe he just needs time conditioning and a pre season and he can nail it. I’m not sold on him at 6 just because we don’t have any option except the worse fullback/pivot switch ever.
Boyd at 6 is making the Hoggman experiment look like heaven

The spine is such a mess that this is looking more like a write off than a rebuilding year. You’d think during rebuild you’d be getting the spine set for the following year but we don’t know what it’ll be. Could well feature Mccullough and Boyd.
You do realise dearden and o'sullivan are inured right? They will be our halves next year. Also, I believe Turpin will overtake mccullough by then. Its just that Turpin offers more versatility (hb) and impact off the bench than mccullough.
Maccas minutes are getting cut dramatically the last few weeks.
Also, milford will not have to play fb and 5/8th once dearden and sos are in. He has looked far better at fb and will look much better with 2 genuine halves

If Shibasaki could just hold the fucking ball then I wouldn't mind having him in the team.

Defensively, he is quite solid. One thing I noticed tonight was his first contact was usually quite good. But his hands, they are a fucking let down.
It's crazy because he does a lot of good things, but his hands are soooo fucking bad and it's always a really poor time (has bombed a few tries already dropping it over the line)

I coached my nephews under 7 team this year. And we have more depth in attack. Seibs has to line them up and say "ok boys and girls, take two Biiiiigggg steps back from the person next to you".

My U7s first receivers also run onto the ball, which appears to be something that the broncos "halves" (using that term very loosely) havent quite mastered yet.

Everything about that game looked horrible. Not just the two teams playing park footy but what in the hell was doing with the field. Looked like a fucking cow paddock, could almost see it covered in cow shit it was that bad. I mean I know it hasn't many games left but **** at least make it presentable for tv viewing. Lucky no body did a knee out there.

It was one of the worst games i have watched to be fair but what i take away from it is nothing new Darbs is kidding himself and should just replace Shibasucky, Turps can play 6 with Dearden 7 next week. Maccas running game looks to have improved but Seggy needs more game time.

The biggest thing is the boys need to play as a team. Gey down and dirty and do the one percenters right. Else we going to get blown away like last week against the top teams.

I dont get it. We threw inside balls to fifita twice. Once he scores and the other he looked like he almost broke the line and had an arm free. That Guy is a fucking weapon and we hardly use him. I wouldnt blame him if he went to melbourne, that would definitely utilise him better than we do.
Unfortunately he's on Boyd's side of the field.

We need some fucking halves to come back... hopefully SOS is fit next week 🤞🤞

That was like watching a team playing it’s first game together. So I guess it was beginners luck that they won. Hard to believe we are in week 21 and serving up that. Please explain.

Is it the line in dodgeball "it was like watching a (not polite word for a person with low intelligence) try to **** a door knob"

Joey making a lot of sense on post match on nine. We have a lot of go forward but no one to support the offloads and halves not taking control once we get into the 20 as has been the case all year. We seriously can't continue with Boyd and Turpin in the halves and if we do Seibold is a fucking moron for not understanding that. Also he will find some way to keep Shibaski in going forward making excuses for him as he does all year.

I actually think Turpin could be OK at 5/8, at least until Bird is back, but we NEED to have Dearden and/ or SOS in the halves (fitness pending). They’re both really promising talents and obviously pure halves. Seibs is going to have to just make the call on the Macca, Seggy, Turps conundrum when both are fit.

Boyd can just move to centre and make tackles.

Turpin is doing pretty well considering he's not supported by Boyd at all. He kicked a 40/20 and scored that try. He gets absolutely belted every fifth tackle because for sure Boyd isn't going to kick it. Milford could of course but not from fullback.

Also, Oates isn't in the picture because for him to be in the picture the team needs to spread the ball his way. He did go looking for the ball but you can't expect much of him otherwise.

The boys live to fight another day. It wasn't pretty, in fact it was downright ugly. The next three games are vital against much stronger opposition and they will have to lift a couple levels. Lodgey was great again tonight, his motor amazes me, he is like a Hilux, he just keeps going and going.

I don't know about y'all but I'm loving Turpin at halfback. Macca ain't going nowhere so at least we get to see the lil Pitbull giving it a red hot go out in the middle for 80 no matter what the number jersey on his back.
Despite the 1 error, he kicked for 362 metre added with a nonchalant 40/20, made 5 tackle breaks and a line break. Not forgetting the match winning try which he has done twice so far this season. The emotion he displayed at the end made me forget that the game was shitty for 79mns. But a win is a win, our errors let us down - we hold on to the ball we would have won well.

Let's all get over the fact that Boyd and Macca ain't budging under Seibold. We just a need a little tweak in the line up of Boyd to centre, and SOS came in to the 5/8 role. Hope he has strong showing on the weekend.

If anyone did not notice we in 7th, our highest positioning yet...**** yeah!!

HY

@Super Freak aka the real bunker.

Do you think Gela-Mosby got a touch on the ball? He certainly made a play after Milford failed to pick it up, but I don't think he touched it before Ofahengaue booted it back.
