Look the way I see it, he will be told retire or improve your game. He has 14 games next year to put some form in. Otherwise they dump him to qcup and his 2021 year is made void anyway.

I actually dont think Boyd has to retire for us to keep Fifita. From the sound of it the club has an honest offer for him and it will be right in the zone it needs to be. I am also confident TPAs would be flying in for this kid and he would be looking at over 1 mil a year if he plays the cards right.

From what I am seeing from the media is they don't have a clue. Kent and Hooper just worked out tonight on 360 that TPJ Lodge and Payne all got signed first because can you believe it, they all didn't have contracts for next year. These punks just run off at the mouth and are really only interested in trying to bag the Broncos as I said the other day.

You could bet they probably only get their info from Geordie in the fox green rooms and triple m bathrooms. Their just not interested unless they think we are providing a Sydney club with talent. That goes for all the big media you read. Siebs said we have a cap issue early in the year and now that means we are still in trouble. She probably is smart enough to not repeat garbage to him. It's called respect. It might hurt her feelings and she doesn't want to hurt his. She might read a lot of social media but he likely doesn't. He also might not tell her how to do her job/roles and she reciprocates.

I don't agree with you but I'll play along. That clip by itself may not conclusively in your mind prove anything, but the other 2 dozen clips of similar incidents most definitely point to a pattern of behaviour. Which is proof enough for me.

I just can't believe Wayne Bennett signed Boyd to $1mil per year for 5 years when he knew he was leaving. It's like he was trying to thwart us. Crazy how he also made it really hard to park in Milton on game days too. Another thwart related move. Wane Benet must be stoked though that he managed to come up here and convince Roberts to slack off so he could come to Souffs. Boyd apparently wants to retire to spend more time with his kids but his wife wears the pants and told him there won't be any family to play with if he doesn't go and earn his 2 year $17 mil pay check.

Why would it be impossible? Its not like its difficult not to read a newspaper, or not watch tv, or get on social media. Its a personal choice. After what he has been through, its probably something that he has been encouraged to steer clear of. I'd say the coaching staff have had some talks with him about his form though, but i doubt they would bring up whats been said outside of the club.

Who knows.. an offseason of finding new shapes and set plays might do him a world of good. I think he could still contribute

Nobody can really deny Boyd is more than likely done, and his form has been well below par, but all of this thing about him deliberately not trying is utter garbage. Anyone who knows anything about the game would know that if you are letting down your team mates deliberately, or through a lack of effort, the playing group will always turn on that player. You just cant let the team down through poor effort, other players see through it. It should speak volumes that that hasnt happened to Darius at all, he has the backing of his team mates.

It shouldnt excuse his poor form, he isnt playing well enough to hold down a spot, but i think everyone knows my views on that. Its an issue caused by the coach not dropping an under performing player.
