Big fan of Bird's while he was on the field, unfortunately he's been physically rooted his entire stay here and him going is one way to clear cap space to make a gun signing if Boyd and Macca are going to bury in like ticks.

Depends what the club does with the cash. If we get Holmes or Foran/ Sezer it's a good deal IMO. Play Boyd in Qcup all next season so we have the necessary cap space to re-sign Fifi and we're good to go.

see...this is why im not averse to chasing Brodie Croft..Moses was a ratbag but he came form the a basket case of a footy club before joining Parra. He has obviously matured and committed himself to buying into what the coaching staff are telling him plus a change of scenery...

Why cant Croft rediscover his best form with us? Change of team, matures, relishes being given responsibility for leading a NRL team...?

He may not mind, never know but such paucity of decent halfs in this comp...

Lewis is an interesting prospect. He seems like one of those players that can rise to the occasion. He reminds me a little bit of Campese, the former Canberrra Raiders 6.

Good comparison. I think Lewis is the best of the options if Bulldogs let him go. Werent they keen on Macca at one stage? Maybe a swap.

I’m a HUGE fan of Lewis, especially his defence. But more importantly is he’s a heads up attacker with a great kicking game. He’s exactly who we need but I can’t see it happening.

Do we know how long he is signed for? Straight swap for Macca would be way too good to be true

It was absolutely ridiculous and a shambles having three hookers in the team for much of this year. Surely the same mistake won't happen again next season, Seibold couldn't be that bloody stupid. Macca offers very little when in the starting side, let alone coming off the bench!
