NEWS Darius Boyd turns Broncos vegan in bid for premiership glory

Does anyone seriously think the broncos would allow Boyd and Oates to be on a diet detrimental to their performance and then talk about it in the media?
This is an organisation that educates every player how to eat as an athlete.
Some player ignore this advice but I guarantee you they are not going to the media and advertising it.
I see this as a positive because it means these players are taking their diet seriously. They'll soon know if it's for them or not, but if they do it, it will be a hell of a better alternative to the protein of Maccas and a coke.

**** this agenda of yours is tiresome. We got it after the first thousand times. Give it a break.

He is now openly trying to sabotage our team. What does he have to do to be stripped of the captaincy. **** White and his loyalty,I would rather have a young gun like Herbie in any position than the embarrassment that Boyd has become.
Really? Where did Boyd tell others to follow his lead? Sabotage!! **** me dead, there is nothing that will please you haters.

A headline that says something to the effect of Boyd announces retirement I think would go down quite well. Might be the most upvoted/liked post of all time.

Yeah, it's up to Boyd whether he wants to do it, he could have told his teammates about it and its on them if they want to or not (though I wonder if the team has a nutritionist and what they'd say). This is just Oates saying Boyd is doing it and I'm thinking about giving it a go.

This guy has been detrimental to the team since 2017, how can you not see this? Unless you are related to him.
Where would the Storm or Roosters coach have Boyd in his top 13, let alone 30.

There was a segment on the news last night that Patty and TPJ were giving it a go.

Apparently TPJ has been putting his meals up on insta??

Didn't TPJ swear off social media earlier this season because he was spending ridiculous amounts of time on it?

I thought nutritionists were a must for a professional sporting club since at least the 1990's? Surely the players aren't left to their own thinking to follow the latest fad diet?

Isn't the interwebs wonderful!

If this malarkey is allowed to flourish you will likely see players or their partners go anti vax because of that video they saw online..

he’s been back for a while, and currently very vocal about his support for alleged church-dance-stabber Fainu

Yes. Well there's at least quality studies done and as far as I can tell one of the studies cited in the documentary actually states that vegan diet adherents don't fair as well as omnivores! They selectively pull info out of the study, crow about it but leave out the essential parts, you know the bits that don't endorse their views.
#fare# I know you like to be correct.

Don't know about vegans, but that Bankwest result suggested we have a whole team of vegetables.

The first paragraph states that Boyd “spruiked” it as something for the whole squad. Did you read the article? And I don’t hate Boyd I just think he’s lost the plot. I don’t care how many cricketers and runners are vegan. The relevant question is how many roosters and storm players are vegan? Back when Boyd was playing well was he a vegan? What actual evidence apart from watching a documentary does he have that this will help the young players he is influencing? The guy should just pull his head in. I liked him a lot more back when he wouldn’t talk to anybody. At least he played well then.

Watched a documentary, told people about it, gets crucified.

Andrew Hall is the men's team.
Laura Benn is the women's team.
