NEWS Darius Boyd turns Broncos vegan in bid for premiership glory

because if he had those abilities he would have been a hell of a lot better than he was this year
Mate, he was practising in the dressing room in front of the mirror and everything he was practising about making the opposition play like crap, hit him instead. Jedi learner's mistake 101.

There was a segment on the news last night that Patty and TPJ were giving it a go.

Apparently TPJ has been putting his meals up on insta??
His story today has a plate of what looks like some meat and eggs to me

.....No? Where did you pick up any of that? If Boyd is gonna be captain next year, that makes Alex Glenn's retention look pretty dumb.

Because it says in the news article "Brisbane skipper Darry B", which indicates he's still regarded as the captain of the side?

That's the Journalist saying that isn't it?

until he is officially replaced, he is still captain of the side ... but Seibs has also stated that a decision on the captaincy won't be made until towards the end of the pre-season.

This is spot on, of course he is still the captain, but it has no meaning at all on if he will be by round 1 2020

Would we be surprised if he was the captain come round one though?

So Boyd is going to suggest something to the playing group that will be pretty much be brushed to the side and ignored by a playing group that doesn’t have much interest in what he is preaching.

I thought this article was about diet and not about Boyd’s onfield captaincy in 2019.

The Brisbane Broncos have today made it clear they do not use a so-called vegan-type diet in the club’s nutrition program.
Coach Anthony Seibold said the Broncos’ coaching staff had never considered the implementation of a diet that did not include meat for the players.
“We do not endorse or use a diet of this type in our program,” said Seibold

“And we will not be adopting any approach similar to this kind of diet.
“The Broncos have full-time dietary staff whose important function is to monitor what the players eat, as it is vitally important to our training and development program.
“We also have some high-quality meat suppliers that we value enormously as part of our program.
“If individuals choose this approach that is totally fine for them to make that choice, just as it is if someone gave up a type of food because of religious or ethical beliefs.
“But any suggestion the club would be embarking on a vegan-type approach to player nutrition would be totally incorrect.”

TLDR: Shut the **** up Boyd

Surprised they actually dignified it with such a formal response.

Maybe Seibold will use it as leverage to further undermine Boyd's role in the side.
Yeah I'm very surprised... also the tone of the article is pretty strong.

Such a strange thing to make a statement about... it seemed like the original article was just a fluff piece... maybe they're making a statement specifically for the outrage on BHQ haha
