id rather fifita and tpj on the edges Glenn and carrigan could rotate in the middle would be a real waste having TPJ in the middle when he could be trucking merkins on the right edge.

Why does everyone think that just because he's coming on into the "middle" he can't run lines in a back row position

I’m sure it is totally possible but our lock tended to be used last season as a third prop,if it is going to be the case next year I’d rather TPJ running on the edge using his energy that way.

Yes. But TPJ will run where he wants regardless of the number on his back. He just wants to tare up and make guys look foolish

I don’t see anything wrong with this forward pack if we want Pangai on an edge.

Ofahengaue and Kennedy would interchange with eachother.

Carrigan would give Haas a short rest.

Flegler would go on for Lodge.

Glenn has shown that he can play multiple positions.. Hence #14 utility.

I like this team. I reckon Seibold will continue with Haas but I like your suggestion.

Haas at lock will hurt us, not help us.

We need Lodge and Haas taking the first hit ups, that one two punch is quite effective in gaining momentum for the rest of the set. Move Haas to lock and that changes as lock forwards take hit ups later in the set which for the most part is nothing more than a settler.

Can we just not change our front row and keep it the way it is? Don't fix what isn't broken.

I think we just need to be patient with TPJ. I know on his day he can be unstoppable and there’s no doubt he has a higher ceiling than the ever reliable Glenn. But I’d think Glenn starting with TPJ coming off the bench is the best for our team make up. Glenn still has a lot to offer and his experience is invaluable, and TPJ coming on once the opposition forwards have tired a little will create a massive impact. There were times last year where the entire team stepped up the second TPJ came on. Next year Glenn will retire and that starting position will be his, and hopefully by then he will gained more consistency.

I was just thinking about experience in a team. I was musing about how much experience was in the grand final winners from the last 31 years. How much maturity was required, the balance of youth and experienced campaigners. After thinking on it I tended to think that there wasn't any gf winners who could fairly be described as a team of youngsters. Perhaps Big Pete might be able to crunch the numbers.

If I'm correct in my thinking then where do we find ours if McCullough and Boyd are gone? I'm not saying that alone is enough to keep them in the squad but if they're gone and Glenn along with them could we realistically expect them to win a gf? Sure, we may be able to be the first team of youngsters to do it. Of course, that's only a thing if my wacky theory is on the money.

The problem with the Broncos is the experienced players aren't bringing enough and they are not worth keeping for experience sake. We will be better without both Boyd and Macca. I agree we need experience but the experience we have is not up to standard.

The most experienced coach in the game. More premierships than any other. The second best win rate. His resume is without peer.

If we can't find a spot for Darius in the outside backs, he shouldn't be picked. He'll be starting on the right wing and probably interchanging with Isaako at Fullback throughout the game, that's my best guess.

The only reason the Rosters won 2 comps is because they got Cronk an experienced rep and premiership winning half back. There are no more of these players out there. Maloney and Cronk are gone with most of the golden generation of Slater, Inglis,Thurston,Lockyer, and only Smith and to lesser extent DCE remain. The cupboard is pretty bare across the competition. We can't buy quality experience that doesn't exist and we can't manufacture it in Macca and Boyd. We have given our young talent experience and should continue to do so. That's or best way forward. In my view Milford at 24 will step up and go to the next level now he has had a good preseason. He had a bad preseason last year and was good the year before in 2018. Croft was a savvy buy that will improve us too.
