NEWS Carrigan: how low can we go?

Everyone here saying he's the best man for the job but none of you mentioned him before Boyd was sacked. Yeah, there are leadership qualities but there is also something called experience, he was a bench forward last year.

what are you talking about ... plenty of people have been talking about Carrigan as a future captain ...

Carrigan is lucky to be in the 17, let alone captain. He's solely there due to injuries and suspensions, to far superior players, and will lose his place ASAP. What a sorry state the club is in, if he is to captain. His showing as a captain in the trials was very poor. Croft directs and speaks more, and doesn't start useless fights. Far better option, until the two preferred captains are available.

There is a reason Carrigan is on Minimum salary, he's not a future prospect. Our forward pack is brilliant and stacked. When current injuries and suspensions are done, where will he be?

starting lock ... maybe even on the verge of origin selection ...

he will be a mainstay of the QLD and Broncos pack for the next decade (assuming he is able to resist the massive money thrown at him)

and he will be the next Broncos captain ... guaranteed.

besides i highly doubt he is on minimum wage, after rejecting big contract offers to stay loyal to us

:rofl nice depiction of Seibold

He has no offers? He has started 2 NRL games. That's how much confidence the coach had in him last year.

When Lodge and Joe O are in the side, you think he’s worse than Kennedy, Flegler or Hoppa? Or the kids like Bullemor or Riki?

He’s a sure thing in the 17 unless he literally falls off a cliff

he rejected a million dollar offer before he even made his grade debut to sign a long term offer with us ... he is very highly regarded by this club, he would have signed a decent (but not huge offer) ...

it is one of the rare smart things our recruitment team over the last few years

HAAS, FIFITA, LODGE, PANGAI, OFAHENGAUE . who does he replace out of those long term investments, as a starting player. would love to know

exactly, he's a possible bench player, at best.. considering our full strength pack of HAAS, FIFITA, LODGE, PANGAI, OFAHENGAUE .

He is better the Ofahengaue to start ... TPJ is better as an edge forward or on the bench

Would love to know more about this MILLION dollar offer? Was it over ten years?

nope the Bulldogs went very hard for him ... they wanted him to replace Klemmer ... they think so highly of him that they made him a big offer before he even made is first grade debut ... fortunately rejecting it to remain loyal to us ...

he reportedly also had several other clubs interested in his signature ...

I think he is good, by the way. I just can't see the Broncos investing any further big money into the forwards, for quite a while. It would be crazy, considering what we need in the backs

He should take the money and run then, as there is no money left for him. Sadly, a fact.
I reckon he'll end up at the Titans next year.

they don't need to invest any more into him ... we have him secured until the end of 2022 ... we were smart enough to get him on a long term deal before his debut ... luckily for us, he loves this club or he would be wearing a rivals colours on big money by now.
