In fairness, it wouldn't be in his best interest to get specific about every detail in every rumour. Nor can he say "all the rumours are false," for the same reason. But he could do what Corey did and say there's a lot of far fetched shit being said, it's upsetting his family and take it with a grain of salt, but people are people, and people like to fill vacuums with noise.

Yeah I agree. Surely he'll say something to deny the rumours once he is back in the NRL bubble again. Otherwise it's completely illogical and senseless to not address it in some form.
 
Fitler is spot on. There’s no way Seibold should walk away voluntarily. He either leaves now with a pay cut and seen as the worst coach of all time or he sticks it out, makes a million a year and pray he can salvage his careers. If he can make the top 10 next year or the finals the year after he is still a chance of landing another job somewhere. If he leaves now he’ll never get another run.

If the Broncos don't sack him at the end of the season, Brisbane will turn into Portland.

I agree. From a career point of view, leaving now is essentially suicide. Plus he doesn't have a high enough profile as an ex player to land a state of origin or representative coaching job.

I believe it was said this week (I heard on the radio) that the Broncos are paying for the lawyers and they are the ones pursuing it

The problem is I'd say the damage has already been done the reputation of bringing what was under Bennett still a very competitive top eight outfit to it's knees on the field(crawling into the finals relying on results going your way so late in the season only to get flogged by a record amount in the finals 2019 isn't something to be proud of), then when he announces "big changes" are coming. The only big changes that came were the record scorelines served up as a plater for the opposition week in and week out and the battle for the wooden spoon, certainly hasn't shown a backbone that is so needed. Any club in their right mind wouldn't touch a coach with a 35 percent win rate at his current club for two seasons and even if he was to salvage a somewhat respectable result next season would still be reluctant to touch him. On top now you got this off field scandal(not necessarily his fault, but it does make it less attractive to deal with). You would have to be pretty damn desperate to ignore the stench of failure.

You might be right. The initial reporting said Seibold was funding the lawyers, but apparently the club has since released a statement saying they're jointly pursuing it. Whether that means Seibold's vultures are drinking from our club membership funds, I don't know.
