It was interesting and somewhat amusing to read that in Pies' interview in the Daily Tele when talking about our players he called them " I'm really excited about the future about players like Patrick Carrigan, Thomas Flegler, Thomas Dearden and Kotoni Staggs." I wonder why he dropped the Patty, Tommy, Fleggy, Staggsy monikers.

He's Harvard distancing.

Badel has just dropped a piece in the CM that Karl Morris is interested in speaking with Bellamy. Melbourne have quickly knocked the idea on the head though and noted Brisbane could offer $20 million and they would still not release Bellamy for next year.

Morris has also said he hopes the new coach, whoever that is, will be in place by November. He doesn't want to rush the process and wants to look at those coaches who have become available this season also.

Obviously referring to Green and Kearney.

Will legit peace out next season if either green or kearney are coaching at the Broncos
They can both come and play coach here. But not head coach.

Again I’m in the minority but I love to get Griffin back.
He would not be the same Hook. His stint at the Panthers was good. I am not totally for or against it. I could get behind him but.

Yes it is getting up there towards being one of the biggest clusterfuck decisions of all time isn't it?
Don’t want to rub it in and cop the same shit Bgoat is copping but it was always a terrible idea. Imagine what could have been if the board didn’t monumentally **** this up. A team of young guns surrounded by leaders and people that want to play with a coach who knows how to get the best out of their players. Bennett isn’t “bigger than the Broncos” but the board made a decision for themselves and in turn acted “bigger than the Broncos”. Karl Morris shouldn’t have a say in the new coach either.

I have already indicated I thought the decison to move WB on was the right one, but I have also acknowledged that you, Goat, Abashi, Accept et al were all on the money.

What I would like to know is what the justification was for what the Board and CEO did. If it was a childish clash of egos/power anyone involved should go. The one time someone came up with a sensible succession plan and they shit all over it. Unless there was evidence of WB actively undermining the club or sabotaging the club (and not for one minute could I believe that) I struggle to see why it was so urgent to move him on.

Hook could do a job, but it's not an inspiring choice from the board that just had to sack their chosen one barely 18 months into his tenure.

Green may have a premiership, but again he won't buy them any grace period. Green would basically have to come in and have us playing as a top 4 team otherwise the knives will be out... and to me Green is no chance of working with this team and it would end up being a clusterfuck of epic proportions

Kevvie is a choice that gives them a grace period... even if we scrape into the 8 under Kevvie next year it would still be viewed as a success as long as we're playing some kind of decent footy and appear to have some pride in the jersey again.
