I’m pretty sure I just witnessed tpj training with Parker on Parker’s insta story...I took a screen shot but I’m not sure I should post it as it might break one of his bazillion rules. It’s also a bit blurry but it sure looked like him and he has broncos shorts on.

Parker is outside of the bubble right?
Yes, but so is TPJ now. Parker might be the mysterious mentor.

Well just post it

Oh you red hot sleuth you. I'm happy if it's Parker who has been asked to mentor him. He could be a real weapon as an offloading lock. Some of the stuff Parker produced was a joy to watch.

I think it has a lot to do with what happened to Bennett, and equally, that neither TPJ nor Milford took to Seibold. Seems like something similar is happening at the Tigers with say Luke Brooks, who went from near DallyM level to the scrap heap, along with the disquiet amongst the player ranks with Madge.

I am hoping for, if not expecting, a big turnaround from TPJ and MIlf, if not from a lot of other of our players next year under a new and hopefully right coach, and coaching staff (can't separate the 2 from a winning formula).

My only concern is that the conditions attached to TPJ's contract have set him up to fail.

You’re legit hoping for a milf resurgence? 5 years on and he’s had 1 memorable season, even if he kills it next year whilst playing for a contract you would have to be very cautious in re-signing him for fear of him slumping in form once he’s secure.

I cannot believe how much of a honeymoon Milford has been given by fans,re-sign him next year and the club hadn’t learnt a damn thing.

Well, he was pretty good up to and including 2018 until the coaching shit hit the fan, which affected pretty much all the roster, and including this year, I think there is enough evidence that he and Dearden have what it takes to become a top halves pairing next year.

You’re confident he can get to the same level as a Keary/Cleary/Munster/DCE by next season? Because when we are talking about top level and actually competing for the premiership that’s what he is going to need to be and he’s a far cry from that now.

Milf’s become a grim reaper to #7’s as well, they’ll be too afraid to come if he claims another one.

Yes I am confident. I don't share your pessimism. Yes, there are good grounds for being skeptical about Milf based on his performances in '19 and '20, however I remain optimistic that he will come good next year. Again, even when he has been sub par, we have looked a lot better with him and Dearden in the halves and conversely, with anyone else we have looked shit.

I also remain convinced that a lot of our roster has been sub par since Seibold took over and because he took over, and importantly, in the circumstances he did. Of course, what I am hoping for will for the most part depend on how our board and incoming CEO undo the damage they have wrought, starting with the right coach for us.

Given the right environment, missing for 2 years, I am optimistic we will really turn things around on the field next year, and Milford (with Dearden at 7) will play a big part in that

I would also add that the question of Milford's performances also have a lot to do with the parlous state of our spine. Having a decent FB to work with, especially around the ruck will be a big help. Then, there's the question of our hooker. I can only imagine how we would go with say Smith in the spine, Dearden and Milf in the halves, and a quality FB.

If Turps will be our 1st string dummy half, and develops a stronger running game, then again, with a quality FB, we will have a great spine which really, is the core problem we have had for years, a spine like spaghetti.

I'm sceptical on Milford ever becoming Elite, he has been getting injured alot in the last few seasons with a very hessitent playing style and the big strengths he has outside kicking is good footwork and agility which you lose as you get older(and with injuries).

I'm unsure where his future lies if he doesn't have a rep level season next year.

I cannot understand how people still have faith in Milford.

He has 1 good game in 10, that's his level of consistency, that's what he has shown and proven.
I am not going to go on some long rant about why Milford never lived up to his paycheck, because its as plain as day to anyone with eyes and if you have not seen in it by now, you never will.

He is up there with some of the worst signings the club has ever done.

Forget elite, just being able to contribute at the standard or consistency of even someone like Corey Norman would be a good start. Norman is far from elite but even he manages to somehow make Milford look pedestrian.

Then all we are doing is surrounding him with developing players and hoping he can reinvent himself in the off season as an elite playmaker.

Turpin, Dearden & whoever comes in as FB are all developing players trying to find their feet in the game. Yes it does hinder Milfords game but even then he would be head and shoulders above these guys in terms of game knowledge and decision making and deliver that on the field. Instead of bagging a Milford we would instead be talking about finding him a halves partner who compliments his dominant game.

To date he has looked every bit as lost as our new guys and his experience in first grade is never shown on the field.

Dearden is the future, using him to rescue Milfords career isn’t fair on him.

We won’t agree, I hope Milf delivers us a Dally M 5/8 of the year season in ‘21, I still wouldn’t re-sign him though.

Good idea to stand him down can't get suspended when your not playing and it's a nuff year now anyway.
