Where to From Here? Let's Plan for 2021

Huh? Whare played centre first half of the season until injured against Cows. May played about 6 games as starting centre, admittedly finishing the season there until hooked for Naden in the GF where Storm worked May over.
Whare was fit for the last half of the season. Kept getting picked in extended squads and never playing.

Whare was injured in round 10, half the season had already finished! He wasn't fully fit until round 19 and Cleary was reluctant to change a winning side (can't blame him), especially with Naden going so well in Whare's absence.

Your comment was "May was chosen ahead of him all year". That was simply not true.

Sorry. Last 2 months of the season including all finals.

Unless its capewell or b smith, hold the dollars in the bank. The squad has enough there with a good coach to make the 8. End of this season Milfs contract is up to free more room.

Staggs if he stays and plays well, will be due for a an upgrade. Oates is off contract end of next season. Brimson is available from Tits. Paps from Storm.

Spot on, I would much rather keep money in reserve than spend it on the wrong player (even a talented but not required player like Bird) just because we have it, and to placate fans and media

Except getting a Capewell and Allan isn’t going to break the bank account and you can sign Allan to a two year deal and still have the dosh available for when Brimson is gettable.

Allen doesn't want to come back ... he has said that several times ... he wants to stay at Souths

This is what I expect when people say let players go to get developed elsewhere and then hope they’ll come back a better player. Chances are if they become better at a different club they won’t want to come back.

Imagine having players come out and say they want to stay at your club when they are gettable before they sign.
