Where to From Here? Let's Plan for 2021...er...2025

Yes, but that will just prove he is a witch and we can then burn him at the stake.
If he'd done this to the Broncos back in the Brisbane of 30 years ago it would probably have already happened.

The reason it's so low is because nobody was interested when he was asking for 600-800k.
It makes little sense though, he is a high level player in one of the most expensive positions of the field, there are wingers on more money then that, teams like the Rorters find the odd half a million out of their back pocket and since they got rid of Kyle Flannigan he would be the perfect signing for them if he was legit asking that puny amount.

F***, now you've gone and said it. He'll end up at the f*cking Roosters.

Apparently everyone had filled most of their squads. I don't know any of this as fact, it's just being widely reported as true. He has already returned to Aus.

At $300k he's got to be one of the most tempting prospects of 2021. I'm stunned he hasn't got clubs shifting the deck chairs madly to have a shot at him for that sort of investment.

If Brisbane somehow **** this up and don't fire a shot they should have Paul White dragged down Caxton Street and thrown into the river and hope he makes it out to sea.
With the rest of the board

What is the fuss with Gareth Widdop... we just got a half from the super league on a train and trial deal that by the sounds of things performed better than widdop... there’s a million better options at fullback and personally I am quite excited to see if Kevin can unleash Milford’s best... if we really want a fullback we should be targeting Allan, Drinkwater or Hoy

Keeping the powder dry seems to be a good strategy, as a quality signing can pop up at unexpected times, a good strategy for the Broncs to adopt at the moment.

We seem to have the recruiting power of a 2nd tier club at the moment... which is ok.. because realistically it should revert to normal sooner or later. This means we still get some promising youngsters not ready for first grade or over the hill stars, just not the accomplished players at or near their peaks.

I find it strange no clubs, especially Brisbane, are chasing Capewell. He performed quite well in origin, and is going to ride the pine for most games for Penrith. From memory they signed him up at a decent clip from Sharks, so could be interested in a club taking him without needing to chip anything in. Same for Whare, he won't see first grade there without injuries, and is on 500+

It is a no brainer to bring Capewell on board, hence Brisbane not being interested as they have totally mismanaged the cap and have no room.

With the Naden drama not sure they would be keen to get rid of Whare just yet...
Penny's round 1 backline currently looking like Edwards, Staines, Crichton, Whare, To'o

Capewell is very gettable though.

Put a big hook in him and float out on a large balloon, plenty of bullies up to 3.5mtrs in the Brisbane River

May was chosen ahead of him all year. Don't see how that changes, even though Whare is a better player, IMO.

Huh? Whare played centre first half of the season until injured against Cows. May played about 6 games as starting centre, admittedly finishing the season there until hooked for Naden in the GF where Storm worked May over.
