It will be interesting to see if we are paying any of his contract but I don't like the wording of Garry's Tweet (as he is respectable) because it implies we have blinked first once again. That said, I don't know any details but I just want to see our club sticking to its guns.

I think a chill out period is required! Hand wringing, wailing and gnashing of the teeth about bleeding money isn't clever as we don't know anything at all about the financial side.
I believe, in Mculloughs case at least that the Broncos simply waited until Staints were prepared to take over the overwhelming bulk of Maccas contract. I'd also guess they did the same with Bird's.
I really believe the Broncos are getting it right behind the scenes and if we truly knew the financial side we'd pretty much all be happy...except for morepudding of course.

I'd love to agree with you but more so interested in what gives you this positive mindset on the financial side of things? All reports and comments I've seen from the media plus reputable posters on here suggests the financial side of the squad (not the club in general) is in a bit of a shambles.

I get that, I really do but I do have a connection within, a lowly connection though who tells me the Broncos have had a deep dive, an honest assessment and a total reset, top to bottom. Fiscal responsibility, inclusiveness, unity and a common purpose is the new direction. In what he described as following a WB blueprint that the great man presented some years back.
Besides, I'm an optimist by nature.

Yeah but we still have Paul White at the helm making decisions on his way out. The bloke ran us into the ground when he was actually trying to improve us, why would he bother now that we are already ruined?
I'm surprised @Smokin' Joe hasn't been around for a while , good or bad I'm not sure

As an 80 minute 9 - yes.
As a replacement/short stint 9- no.
I think levi has more impact, speed out of dummy half but not the motor.
I would take either over luke though based on what he gave us last year.
