Depth. Levi is now playing for Norths Devils, so he didn’t exactly have people chasing him. He has NRL experience and if we only need a good game or three out of him (and he delivers) then it’s worth it

I'd rather B.Smith personally. C Smith is just a dickhead who has a grudge against us, I hope he joins the Titans and they miss the 8.

I have met C Smith a couple of times. A really nice man. But I get the view of him as a player.

Other than possibly Dearden, the entire spine is one big question mark. Especially 6. We're yet to see whether Turpin's reticence to run the ball last season was due to Seibold's meddling. He, Isaako and Milf have 5 rounds grace and then the axe should loom.

I think we definitely need a strike centre, someone with speed and size capable of setting up a winger
I hope I'm wrong but i can't really see Isaako killing it at fullback, so fullback would be another target. Again someone with speed ,size and good ball skills would be ideal.( not asking for much i know.)
I think the forward roster is ok as long as we can keep our young potential guns coming through and let go of anyone getting over the hill.
The halves all depends on Milford but I'm thinking he's had enough time to shine but has been disappointing overall and should be let go or his salary cut in half if he has a good year. Deardon to be re-signed for 2 more years.
Hooker , i would be happy maybe signing B .Smith for the right price although his attitude has me a bit worried as would his influence over the young players coming through.

Milford is either our star five-eighth or he's gone. He's no use on the bench or any other position. His "natural game" appears to not involve any planning or thinking. That's not the usual role of a five-eighth, let alone your best player. All we know is he has a decent set of ball skills and he used to be elusive with the ball in hand. We haven't see a whole lot of that for a couple of years. Just the odd flash.

I'll be astonished if Milford suddenly blossoms under Walters, but that's the remit Kevvie's undertaken. To be even blunter, Walters is also on trial in the first five rounds.

He certainly has ability. 800k for a centre is big money here in Australia. What do you believe he's worth to us?

If Milf stinks if up this year perhaps Staggs could have a go at six, and if he's successful maybe justify the price?

Would be nice if pulling his head in a bit coincided with a lower price tag though.

500k p/yr for 3yrs, take it or leave it.
I'd like to see him in the 6 next to Dearden if Tesi shows us that he needs to stay in the centres. Walsh to FB.

I get this club has "blood in the water" given the ex-coach's incompetence but the players (staggs definitely included) were a part of us getting the wooden spoon.
Signing fiffita for 1.25 MIL and now staggs for 800,000? Did I read the premiership ladder upside down or something?
