If you don't judge a player by the numbers, how does Carrigan rate so highly?

TPJ was fine. Solid first half, dangerous second.

I think TPJ was just non existent first half. Did nothing.

I just go with what i see, not what some stats tell me. Seen Patty's game from before he got into the 17 here and i like his attitude and his work ethic. Always turns up and puts his hands up for the tough runs. Does the little things and competes for everything. One mediocre performance tonight wont change my opinion of him.

Thing is, i dont actually know what some people are expecting from him tbh. He is basically a workhorse prop. He isnt flash, he isnt much of a ball player, he just goes about his work. Nothing wrong with that. Our problem is we are playing him at lock, and as i've been saying for a couple of years, he isnt a lock. He doesnt have the game for it.

That is a concern of mine. The psychological impact of continual loses under effort. Thanks Seibold. That guy is a narcissist. Can't believe the hide to turn up as an expert on NRL tv.

Seibold? Really going to scapegoat the real issue of the absolute mess that is the 1/6/7 & 9?

Yeah Seibold bought Croft, took a punt and he lost so he can wear that.
Seibolds not to blame for Milford, Isaako, Turpin & Boyd.

Walters has taken up a monumental task and there’s no way he can come out of it favourably. He’s inherited what is in all likelihood the worst spine in the modem NRL era.

Not a coaching issue, this is an outright roster issue and I’m fucked if I see a way out of it at all.

Brisbane being this bad before 2023 isn’t good for expansion. Probably should delay it a year or two until this mess is sorted

See now, not that I agree with what the warriors did but throwing cash at a potential spine player specifically a fb even if Not proven in this current market, maybe the only way to get one.....

Because we sure as fucking shit don’t have ANY!

This is precisely what they want. Shitty Broncos team, stacked Brisbane 2 team will see fans move across.

I got no idea who they are but are they going to be any better than Herbie, Tesi or Staggs?

can you find some other positions as not sure centre is in our top 5 problems
Neale and Grant are forwards. I can see Grant actually getting a run at the Storm. I think centre is an issue. For all Tesi's good work in attack, some of his defence was very poor, and Coates for that matter. Hoeter imo would be a fantastic option to take a bit of the pressure of those two boys as he can play wing or centre.

In terms of Halves, there isnt really much around. Cullen from the Dolphins maybe could do a similar sort of job to what Fogarty has done at the Titans, but i'm not totally convinced he could step up. We need a few hard heads around.

He is definitely crying, I even rewound it at the time to make sure. He was consoled by 6 players and the referee, everyone was concerned for him. Not a good sign at all.
They can’t keep playing him for 80. It’s haas all over again. 80 minutes week in week out only to lose every week. Broncos need to really look after this kid.

Some consolations for me:

1. We won the second half. That's not nothing.
2. The emergence of Tesi Niu as a strike centre. I get the feeling he's just getting started.
3. Herbie's footwork. Wasn't a great game but like Niu, he looks like he's winding up.
4. TPJ. Hitting Fifita without getting pinged. His passing and offloads. Not giving up. A couple of times there he looked more of a halfback than Croft.
5. Jordan Riki. Another who looks like he's just getting started. Like the other two, still rough around the edges.
6. Coates. Just makes me smile.
7. Kennedy. Keep him on the bench.

Mixed feelings:

1. Isaako. Looks fit as ****. But dickfingers.
2. Milford. His kicking game has improved. But not enough.
3. Turpin. I didn't like his double pump hesitant service. Cut that out.
4. Carrigan. Liability with the ball.
In summary... fucken discipline

So we want to lose to the dogs as well aye

I think his time has come. He just isnt stepping up. He is playing like a man desperate for a new contract but doesnt have any answers anymore.
Didn't engage the defensive line at all tonight, and compounded it with some really poor kicks and poor defence.

The lack of composure in the first half by both halves is what lost us the game... you don't need to be cute with the ball when Coates has a 2 foot advantage over his opposite winger.

Have 5 shots at the line, the last one on the left and then cross field kick to Coates... not some stupid cute dinky kicks on 3rd tackle when the fullback is back there anyway.
