POST GAME Round 2 - Titans vs Broncos

That is a concern of mine. The psychological impact of continual loses under effort. Thanks Seibold. That guy is a narcissist. Can't believe the hide to turn up as an expert on NRL tv.
He was in the box for the Knights game as part of the Knights' staff. Images of him in a coaches box should come with a trigger warning.

I'll actually throw a name out there i've mentioned before from ISC for a center position here, Delouise Hoeter. How he hasnt been given a decent shot in the NRL i just dont know. If Nat Neale wasnt so old now i'd throw him into the mix as well. And Grant as well. No nonsense players we are lacking.

Some consolations for me:

1. We won the second half. That's not nothing.
2. The emergence of Tesi Niu as a strike centre. I get the feeling he's just getting started.
3. Herbie's footwork. Wasn't a great game but like Niu, he looks like he's winding up.
4. TPJ. Hitting Fifita without getting pinged. His passing and offloads. Not giving up. A couple of times there he looked more of a halfback than Croft.
5. Jordan Riki. Another who looks like he's just getting started. Like the other two, still rough around the edges.
6. Coates. Just makes me smile.

Mixed feelings:

1. Isaako. Looks fit as ****. But dickfingers.
2. Milford. His kicking game has improved. But not enough.
I like your optimism dude, i wish i could muster some myself but this team is making it bloody hard to find positives.

Well, as i've said on numerous occasions, i tend not to judge a player by the numbers so i generally dont give players a pass based on running meters, but i thought TPJ was pretty much anonymous in the first half. He was a different player when he came back. Ran with aggression and intent and made things happen. Thats why i wouldn't give him a pass. He didnt do it all game. If he did it for the entire time he was on the field, he would have been getting JT13 numbers.

If you don't judge a player by the numbers, how does Carrigan rate so highly?

TPJ was fine. Solid first half, dangerous second.

Only thing good about Carrigan. Utterly fails any eye test.

7. Kennedy. Keep him on the bench. Lose Carrigan.

3. Turpin. I didn't like his double pump hesitant service. Cut that out.

Herbie's footwork is good but gee wiz, sort ya hands out son.

Turpin was a bit flat. Should have relieved pressure with some kicking.

I got no idea who they are but are they going to be any better than Herbie, Tesi or Staggs?

can you find some other positions as not sure centre is in our top 5 problems

We get our first set restart 60 minutes in on the first tackle.

It is just so, so transparent. Any Broncos supporter that jumps ship to Brisbane 2 is a complete grub.

Milford must go. He has been clocked out of this club for going on 3 seasons. Croft is trash too but less trash which means he stays on the technicality to partner Dearden for the rest of the year.
It’s really going to happen too.
Brisbane 2 will be gifted Munster, and Wayne will go there to spite the Broncos.
I really think this is going to be a 5 plus year slog out of this hole. We don’t have a good spine player in the 17. The good young spine players are leaving (Walsh) or will probably end up at our biggest rival because the coach is dumb enough to play one of the worst 7s in rugby league history over him (Dearden).
We’re another coach away, plus finally freeing some money up to sign someone. Unfortunately we’ll have to pay overs for someone like the Knights did with Ponga back in the day.

Yep, same with Niu, Riki and Coates, but I would persist with all four.

Turpin didn't shine at all. Neither did Croft.

I thought Turpin was very disappointing, last week he was fast, engaging had a bit of variety around the ruck, tonight he looked flat and most of the game just shifted the ball on. He did that last year as well, he would have a great game and then he would just fall away the next week.

I didn’t think he was crying. I thought it was more the titans players showing him the respect he deserves. The kid can play. Proctor was encouraging him
He is definitely crying, I even rewound it at the time to make sure. He was consoled by 6 players and the referee, everyone was concerned for him. Not a good sign at all.
