There's two things that are exciting: That defensive chase and back up tackle straight away and the short passes.

He's a natural footballer with size and skill.

Milford didn't feel the need to play well all the time as he was guaranteed a huge income for years. Ash Taylor seems happier that he's come out the other side after dealing with his personal issues. He hasn't quite delivered on his potential though. He threw a couple wayward passes today against the Knights despite the Titans winning big. The Titans are better with him though, they really in terms in attack looked out of ideas against the Raiders without him. But Taylor is in contract year this year and so the Titans are going to expect to see more from him. Taylor staying on his current salary is out of the question though.

This is part of our retention problem to begin with. Recce Walsh was 2 years away 2 years ago....Cobbo is now the next guy who is 2 years away...

Leave the kid alone to play footy.

Im not concerned about Walsh leaving now. Play the long game, if he fulfills his potential and eventually wants to return to Australia its this type of act which isnt forgotten by player and his family.

What the hell this kid from NZ gunna supposed to do to help us this year?

Our issue are systemic.

Billy Walters really isnt needed, but if hes 30th in line for game time then whatever.

what the broncos need to do right now is release a little statement that Cobbo has been upgraded to the development deal spot and do a little interview with him for their website. “Cobbo upgraded to a development deal... remember he played in the trial for Wynnum scoring a try in the trial and playing fullback for the broncos in the 2nd half... etc.”

at the moment it looks like we get nothing out of the deal, but they should be selling it as “hey Walsh is gone, but here’s the next fullback to step into the void, who is better than whatever the warriors were selling”

It's one of those weird situations where he's contracted with the Broncos, but not on an NRL deal. He comes off contract next year so Brisbane may want to sign him on a 3 year deal sooner rather than later.

I really like him as a prospect. He moves well for his size, appears to have all the right skills and he isn't afraid to go searching for the ball. I'd say he'd be a left centre at NRL level but like Stephen Crichton he could find himself at fullback (but hopefully do a better job).

Brisbane need to be careful how they use their remaining roster spots. There's 5 left, they need to find a couple of players who can bolster their 17 and save one or two for players who are ready for a taste in first grade.
 
Dearden is 2 years older than Sam Walker and has 1/10th of the talent. Let him go to the cowboys. Sign Reynolds.
