Round 11 - Roosters vs Broncos

Just got back from the game. Loved getting stuck into a bunch of entitled, whinging Roosters fans.

Amazing they will whinge snd complain about the rules brought in SPECIFICALLY for them and their whiny coach and tailor made to benefit them, the second that things don’t go their way. They are a bunch of smug, stuck up pricks and I’m always glad to beat them.

The sin bins will take the headlines which is unfortunate really because the Broncos comprehensively outplayed the chooks and thoroughly deserved the win. No amount of refereeing decisions can change the fact that we dominated and owned the Roosters tonight. Boys should be extremely proud.

On the sin bin outrage, I don’t think that ANY of the incidents tonight should be a sin bin offence, HOWEVER we have these new rules now and under these rules, radley should have been binned 4 times, not 2. His worst offence (putting a shoulder into the back of Coates’ head on the ground) wasn’t even a sin bin when lesser offences were? You could tell the ref wasn’t game to bin 3 a roosters player 3 times in case Uncle Nick complains and next week the ref is on the unemployment line.

If we have to live with these stupid ridiculous rules then AT LEAST be consistent. The Lodge binning was completely inexplicable, especially after 3 or 4 worse Roosters offences right beforehand went without a binning - it reeked of the refs trying to ‘even up’ the sin bin count and help the roosters back into it. Seeing Lodge get stuck into the crowd on his way off was beautiful to watch.

Broncos stood up tonight, got in the face of the precious pathetic Roosters and stuck it to them. The dirty dog JWH got put in his place and wonder-kid Suaali did absolutely zero.

props to Kelly for having a dig, good on you son.

great night to be a broncos fan (for once)

"Look, I don't care what anyone says. We can't allow ball runners to lead head-first into a defender's forearm and take out our genuine superstars like Victor Radley. We need to get this out of our game and we will."

- V'landys next week probably
Kent said to Tallis no player would milk it, who would be silly enough to risk getting knocked out?

Deadset thinks people won’t milk it ha.

How good are B.smith and Hynes without Munster and Hughes???

Brisbane, listen to Locky on this one...pllleaasse shut down any talk of interest
This didn't age too well tbf. He was great in the second half IMO

Exactly, I hate these rules and I'd be livid (again) if some of those calls were against us but they ARE the new rules. Fortunately, this time it worked in our favour this time. Radley, under the new rules, should have binned for his last 2 indiscretions. Surely though after 3, you're off for the remainder? Bizzare.

Watched the Raiders/Storm game, at one point Lewis hit a grubber way too hard into the Raiders in-goal which Simonsson grabbed as it was going over the dead ball line - didn't bounce dead, so line drop out rather than 20m restart because he effectively took it dead. Ginnane and Brandy immediately reacted to his error and explained the rule. Funny that when Ikuvalu did the exact same thing in our game, Voss and Parker acted like they'd never heard of it before and argued that it was probably some ancient technicality that really should have been let go...

Said the same thing to the wife when we had the Storm game on 😂

I’m sure this happened to a team the Broncs were playing at Suncorp when Parker was running round.

The other thing that was noticeable was the talk, Lodge & Haas in particular were very vocal in the huddle.

It certainly happened at Suncorp within the past few years, can't remember who it was against but it wasn't the Broncos.

I would be relieved if those calls were against us.

1st bin Radley is off the ground and collects a kicker in the head with his shoulder... very easily could've been sent completely

2nd bin should've been a straight send off purely for the fact that it was his second sin bin offense. Every other sport in the world has a two yellow = 1 red rule.... soccer, union, NBA, etc.

Papa should feel absolutely livid that he was sent straight off last week for a shoulder to the head yet Victor does two (maybe even 3 with the one on Coates) and he gets 2 sin bins.

The **** was put on report 4 fucking times in a match and was still able to see the full time siren on the field... it shits in the face of what fuckwit Vlando has been spruiking for the last two weeks

Which is garbage because Voss is a fucking train spotter when it comes to league and Moylan (I believe??) famously took the ball dead about 5-10m beyond the dead ball line at Suncorp back when he was playing for Panthers (@Big Pete help me out here).

I daresay Voss would've definitely had that in his "moments you may have missed" segment back in the day.

Everyone was perplexed at what had just happened and that event was basically the reason why I know what the rule is today.

EDIT: Just saw that you were all over it a couple posts back @Big Pete 👍👍

I agree with all of this but why would you be relieved if it was one of our players instead of Radley? Or have I misinterpreted?
