Hynes sharks confirmed. 3 years $1.8m. Bit steep, but theres not many good fullbacks. He brings more than Staggs IMO

Yes and the famously non-existent Melbourne traffic. Why would he need to go to the CBD? The shire has as much in it as Brisbane does.
I'm a country boy and I've said multiple times you couldn't pay me enough to live in Sydney.

I think cost of living and lifestyle would be considered by anyone who has multiple job offers.

The shire is known to have both super trashy people and fake snobby people. Probably overstated.

I wonder if he is looking at premiership chances, I honestly think we are closer. I also wouldn't sign with a club that is in the headlines for the wrong reasons every 1 or 2 years.

Well he’s signed with the sharks so there we go

For sure, but to think traffic is a big enough reason to be the difference between Brisbane and another club to a 24 year old just makes me laugh is all. In the same post the guy flobbed off living next to beautiful beaches as not being relevant (despite Hynes being an avid surfer and growing up on the coast) but an extra 15 minutes drive to training is meant to be a big deal.

I’m not mad, I just see this argument on here often and I find it funny.
Can't speak for everyone but 8 years ago work told me to live in Sydney, gave me a house to myself, all living expenses paid for by them, and an extra $350 a week on my payslip. Did it for a month or two, and told them stuff that, the traffic and people here are shit.

Now everyone's different but the traffic for me was absolutely maddening and financially being in Sydney would have been better for me in every way but I still couldn't deal with it.

I guess it depends how close you could live to work, but for someone like me it would be a huge factor

Bit of a kick in the balls, sounded like a done deal to come here.

Gotta keep looking I guess. Need a fullback and a hooker.

We definitely need to sign someone in the backs for next year. If staggs is going to be 6, losing Coates, and Isaako really isn't good enough for fullback. We need a fullback pretty badly. I don't think we make the 8 unless we get a fullback.
