Wake up and smell what's cooking: Controlled demolition

Just annoys me that so many people involved in the club support other teams. Karl Morris supports Manly, Kevin Lawlor is a Newscorp plant who spent most of his life in Sydney, Lockyer is unqualified. Newscorp keeps our biggest shareholders off the board in favour of their own plants and can basically do whatever they want at the club. They'd happily tear the club down just because it's not a priority and the club struggling still gets them their more important clicks.

****, even the ground announcer is a Manly fan. Why would any of the people making decisions at this club care if the team is successful when they're still making money on other ventures. The conspiracy might seem over the top but there's definitely a possibility that the club struggling helps everyone with power.

The sucker that i am, i will reply.

Its your opinion that these theories are comical or baseless, and you are welcome to that opinion without ridicule.
Afford others the same courtesy.
We entertain the possibility that there is more at play, not a certainty.
There is more than one person here that believes there is the potential for these theories to play out the way they have, so while they may be comical to you, to others, they are unlikely, but possible, and we explore that.

Several posters have tried to explain to you, that there is enough information to consider that there is potentially an agenda at play to assist a second club getting off the ground in Brisbane.

No one is saying there is concrete evidence of this happening, its just talk.
But you have felt the need to shit all over it because you find it "comical".
Let me say that I'm shocked that other people also believe unfounded claims.

You can ridicule my opinion all you want, likewise you shouldn't get butt hurt when you fill the board full of wild theories and others disagree. You are not a moderator and you don't set the rules of conversation. I dont like to wade through pages of unfounded nonsense.

Let's just call it a strong and convenient coincidence

Proceeds to wade through a thread that they decided to call nonsense from the start.

A typical attempted rebuttal without a point being made to (a) address any of the points made (b) present something that supports your theory.

But that's the way so many people think today - if they say something is true, then it is. No attempt to justify, prove or disprove. Just name calling and stupid comparisons. Very sad - and the exactly type of person the likes of Vladys counts on to push his agenda.

I refuse to sit here and be led to believe that the downfall of the Broncos over the past few years has been due to Mr Bean levels of bumbling incompetence and the mishandling of all elements of the club from the Ceo down to the coach.

And if by chance that is the case, then the Broncos need to literally fire every single person at the club and start from scratch, because to be this incompetent is unforgivable.

And this is why, to me, the simplest explanation of the situation our once very successful club finds itself in is no accident.

Great point.

In any organisation, if this type of "incompetence" causes so much damage, heads will roll.

No heads of rolled. None. No one has been held to account - except Seibold who is then awarded with a plumb role as "tactics commentator" with the NRL where he gets to show off his great tacticians brain!!

As mentioned, there are PR companies out there that specialise in brainwashing through information - and its clearly working on many Brisbane fans.

So, according to your (nutjob) theory, the Broncos board & CEO and News Limited have been complicit in a conspiracy with the ARL Commission, well prior to Vlandy's being appointed as chair, to basically drive the Broncos as a club to benefit a new Brisbane club that was only in the contemplation and by no means certain of being awarded the licence.

That will do me. Please step forward and receive your tin foil hat, your roll of tinfoil to prevent the 5G rays and your anti-Bill Gates protection laser.

it was

If you've ever worked in a large organisation (which perhaps you haven't) you will understand how this stuff works. Agendas are introduced, people are co-opted, and silenced through fear of losing their jobs, or threatened to have their reputations tarnished through the media.

Vlandys has been described as a "dictator" by commentators now (not mainstream media who are bought and paid-for).

If you really don't think there is an agenda, please explain to me why no one in the board has been held to account?

This from a Sydney Morning Herald story, July last year:

So, after an AGM that lasted less than one hour at a time the only ASX listed club in Australia is in a perilous position, Johnston’s last question remains unanswered: “What steps will News Ltd take in restructuring the Board to the standard expected of a Newscorp-controlled company?”

When you have media controlling a football club's destiny, you have trouble.

Build an argument from nothing more than your assumptions is the exact opposite of logic. Every point you make has literally no evidence to support it.

NRL sabotaging the Broncos and sacrificing revenue for the 'long game' - zero evidence.
Casual fans will watch new team only if Broncos are losing - baseless assumption
Casual fans have more loyalty to teams, but will only watch 1 game a week - baseless assumption

Do you think those who are working secretly behind the scenes will present you with "evidence"? I imagine your type of evidence is do a Google search and see what's on the first page.

There's this thing called "critical thinking". It's where you put pieces of a puzzle together and come up with a conclusion based on what you have observed and understood.

Try it.

I was doubtful myself until someone mentioned the secret space program the NRL was running, which sounds crazy, but can anyone here completely disprove it?

If not, you have to treat it as a completely reasonable theory that's worthy of respect.

Considering some of the space cadets in and around the NRL, I think this theory is perfectly reasonable…

I'm 100% on this conspiracy, of course. The missing link @PineappleHead is missing is Morris, the News Corp pawn who has conducted this mess internally, and no one within the Broncos has the power to remove him.

Typical childish, moronic response.

Such a rude response. You were so close to persuading me too.

What do you think the demolition man Seibold's motivation is for destroying Newastle's season? Could a second team in the Hunter be on the cards?!

I've posted over 20 points to support my claim - but you haven't addressed one, but instead talk about a space program and Newcastle - probably not capable of intelligent debate. I guess just another exhibit of our school system which now only teaches people what to think and not how to think.

Look the game is full of agendas and little fan boys running around pretending to be journalists. The recent death s of old statesman have revealed a lot to me. P Kent for example is a great mate of Sticks, you can bet any argument he is involved with will be pro Stick. The circle jerk on 360 with Hadley shows them trying to one up each other with who they know and how well they are liked. They are a bunch of brown nosing fools who are not out to get the stories. So you can bet your bottom dollar that the speculation our players get as opposed to any other is deliberate, the advertisement of money offers, which a club can't legally do in person is done by the media.

Its not a global conspiracy from the top down, but there are those in the background with influence who do want to see us down, other clubs want our players so the media will talk them up and us down while also printing a nice offer for the player to read while we are negotiating with them. Hard to tell a young guy your worth this when the papers are telling them they are worth three times that at another club right. Look at how much the NZ warriors have been used for that purpose. What i tend to think it is strategy by other clubs and lap dogs doing their mates favours in the guise of legit news.

For example old Hooper last night is talking up Dufty for a move to the Raiders, Buzz rightly questions the move as they have a established fullback, the venom in Hoopers reply was uncalled for but the response also made no sense, he says Klockstad will play centre if Dufty moves there. No way that happens. But that is what Stick wants Dufty to think will happen, so he tells his mates on 360 so it looks like their opinion also is Klockstad could play centre. It's market manipulation, thats all it is. In the same episode Kent is sure to slam the Broncos as a dead club, who can't even look back on our history anymore because it's dead. So two blokes who are mates with Stick talk up the future of the Raiders, talk up Dufty going there and spear the club who is also offering a deal to a player.

Thats your conspiracy if i made any sense.

You did make sense...it’s been Rugby Leagues biggest problem for as long as I can remember. Too many factions pulling in different directions, all looking out for their own self interests and no governing body strong enough or perhaps willing or capable to take the sport in a universally beneficial direction for all involved.

I responded seriously to Midean because I'm at least sure he's being sincere.

You're just as likely to be a troll having a bit of fun with a fan base that's frazzled from experiencing their worst season ever as you are to be a genuine loon.

All you have to do with any organisation or conspiracy theory is follow the money.

I think there are a few factors in play: a.) Morris and News Ltd eating its own young to create news revenue b.) corrupt player managers and recruitment officers stacking teams and driving up prices for their own gains c.) hubris and pride of management after years of success wanting to be the face of a successful club but getting in their own way d.) other teams realising the potential of SEQld footballers and taking our players and lastly e.) the NRL board electing a narcissist as it's CEO

Add all of these events together and you get the clusterfuck that it the current Brisbane Broncos, the NRL can see that to make roses out of crap if they can strike now with a 2nd team they can drive up their media buy, so they don't need to help get the Broncos back on track.

Was this a planned destruction? No, of course not. Are they interested in fixing it? Also, no.
