Broncos Youth Players and Young Guns coming through.

For the people who watch the school Langer Cup competition, one of the best players this season has been Karl Oloapu who plays 5/8 for Wavell and is contracted to the Broncos.

He is at 5/8 again tomorrow night against Ipswich.

Daejarn Asi, the young half from the Cows has a boot on him. He had an impressive debut against the Rabbits and looked way more composed then Dearden has ever had in his 20+ games.

Would not mind us enticing him up here to battle for the fullback or 5/8 spot. Or at least we could have tried for the like-for-like swap instead of being bent over again for nothing in return.

I am pretty impressed with ezra mam (5/8) so far (although i can only watch full magpie games when they are streamed by qrl.com) and think he would combine well with reynolds.

In 6 games he has 7 tries, 4 try assists, 3 line break assists, 93 avg running metres per game and tackle effciency of 91%.

He defends left side but can go both sides of the ruck in attack, he has pretty solid defence (especially for a young half), great support play, leads kick chase, good ball skills and attacks the line with depth and speed.

Sunday was by far his best overall game of his six.

Ezra really good today, easily his best game in the ISC. First try as just backing up on the inside but second try just after half time was taking on the line and beating defenders after the hit too.

Really good defence with no misses. Souths still stink but he's trying hard and adapting. Starting to improve his playing for others too, not just running. Nice pass for a line break in the second half and nice try assist for Tonge

He's been injured for the majority of the Langer Cup so there isn't much to report.

I was impressed with him last year, particularly coming up against Willison.

The stand out for the Broncos is a left edge forward from Marsden Nathaniel Tangimataiti. Another forward the Broncos have brought over from New Zealand.

The League Queensland Magazine had a really good rundown of the Confraternity Shield which is the big Schoolboy competition that involves 48 different high schools across Queensland.

Unfortunately the carnival was cancelled mid-way through due to lockdowns but I thought some of the names the article brought up were worth sharing.

Just to be upfront, it appears a lot of these opinions were coming from the coach's and they didn't all respond so school's like Marymount (Coates' alma mater) didn't respond despite doing well at the carnival.

It's good that were able to sign him, must mean there's no bad blood with his brother, hopefully.
