POST GAME [2022 State of Origin - Game I] NSW vs QLD

The Murray try, DCE was filthy after that one.

I hope it was at himself, he created that hole for NSW by stepping in to tackle Luai when Nanai had him covered.

That was a cracking game. How good is league when the ref puts the whistle away unless it is really warranted. Yeah Klein tried to get them back into the game but I love it when the teams are allowed to play.

Great game.

Classic Origin 1 clash. Right down to the final tackle and the QLD resilience proved the difference. Huuuuge effort to beat them down there. The Blues will be lucky to avoid the 3-0 whitewash now. SUPER impressed with Carrigan and Cobbo. Both had amazing Origin debuts but especially Carrigan....**** me he turned the momentum as soon as he came on, and that inside grubber from Cobbo to Gagai......We have some quality, quality young blokes at the Broncs now. We in particular as a fanbase should be happy with that win.

Great start to Slater's career. He will be full of confidence now and with the strategy he brought to that game, especially being down two bench players for a long while and still holding firm, Freddy might wanna be worried.

3. Carrigan
2. Munster
1. Cotter

The new Maroons coach did pretty well tonight ..

Nah, Haas can play given he missed the match.
That 'million' dollar prop played his ass off tonight. He made at least two strong carries with zero offloads tonight, was fucking immense as he always is in a big game.

Honestly, from that game, if you could only keep one of Carrigan and Haas, you'd be a moron to pick the latter.

QLD forwards were insane, the two debutants especially - Carrigan was amazing and Cotter was great too.
Holmes was really great too, he's made for the wing...and another fucking try too, he just makes the happen on the left wing.

One improvement I want to see more of is the combination between the halves and Ponga. They all played well individually, but I'd like to see Munster and Ponga combine better with a second man play or whatever.

NRL said Isaah Yeo was deemed a Cat 3.

Under their guidelines, he was a Cat 1. A Cat 2 at best which still requires them to be taken from the field.

Isn’t Yeo one of a few players who have recently spent stints out of the game after being knocked into next week and suffered from concussion symptoms well after the event?

It’s a farce he was allowed to stay out there, any NRL game and they’re calling him off immediately

Storm have found their new coach. Hope Billy loves living in Melbourne. Aware he had help from others but the players were all on the same page and that’s a big part of his job.

Great win thought the first 20 minutes was a bit iffy with the ball, they looked unsure but Grant gave them direction and from there the attack looked good.

They were so desperate and the bench was huge. Holmes great in defence and Collins was outstanding.

2018 in U20 camp I said Carrigan was a future captain of the Broncos and Queensland- it's still the most impressive rep week I have ever seen by an individual and last night/week didn't change my thinking at all. It's not just on the field, he is just made for leadership in camp.
