Thank goodness not every person on this forum doesn`t have their eyes painted on .
The 1st pass Tesi dropped I think was his fault . He took his eyes off the ball . The 2nd the pass from Reynolds was too far in front .

But of course Tesi is sht and needs to be sold off to another club .Walsh will never make a mistake and is the best #1 defensively in the universe . LOL .
Yes, I think if you were going to scapegoat one player it would be Reynolds. Both he and Tesi had some great moments, and at times I would've had both as my man of the match. But some shockers as well. Reynolds more than Niu. I'm leaving them alone.

I think Capewell ,Mam and Mariner have some answering to do .
The Tigers busted up the Broncos on the left side over and again last night .

Quite frankly the performance was just not good enough. From the effort, to the attitude and to the overall product of what we dished up was a disgrace. Blaming the REFS in here is also a further disgrace, that loss was our entire doing. For a team who had just snagged top 4 and came up against a bottom side, to have the attitude that they are above putting in any sort of effort specifically in defensive line speed is an atrocity. All be it for a young side this sort of loss can be defining for what sort of team we are. We need to be ruthless against the lower tier sides or otherwise we may as well be chucking our reserve grade side out there and letting them go nuts with a bit of energy and tikka.

Team changes TMM in for Tesi. Flegs whilst terrific we cant have such a energeticless bench on all together so he has to go back to the bench. Deine whilst solid I am prbably leaning to Brenko at this stage as the left edge was working really well in the past month

Line speed fluctuated wildly during the game .
Some times Tigers would make 80 - 90 metres , others flat out making 40 . Changed when the 2nd stringers came on . Changed again late when the starters came back .

When we hit the ball up Tesi is no where to be seen. Players like Carrigan and Haas bend the d line Everytime get up with them and theyl give it to you. They break the line and look around and everyone is 10 metres behind play

I guess the Tigers will forget about the legal action they talked about, because they were paid in full tonight

Tigers were never taking legal action. It was all talk. They probably thought the NRL would panic & reverse the decision.

Yeah it fluctuated in the last 20-30 minutes when after their "Oh shit" realisation in the second half. The criteria for line speed isn't the "Oh Shit" moment. It's sad enough that even within that last 20-30 it fluctuated so often and so significantly. Combine that with the constant errors, ill discipline, awful defence and just a lack of fluency to our attack, it was impossible to perform under these circumstances. It all comes down to the attitude and the attitude was simply not good enough.

Hope the tesi shills **** off now. Absolute clown. TMM comes in to take his rightful spot back from now on.

Ah , we`ll see this week .
TMM will be fit to play .

And by the way a shill is some one who is covertly coping a benefit from promoting a product .

What do we get for backing Tesi ? Blow back from ignorant NRL fans ? Nice little earner . LOL .

We may have been shown up as pretenders by the Tigers. Thursday night will be telling. If we get thrashed, I think that will confirm it. If we win, or lose competitively by a small margin, it might still be game on. If we can beat roosters and storm we might still be a chance for top four.
Exactly. I have an idea that the longer pre-game break was seen as a chance to give all the gang a break and it was a relatively easy relaxing training period. In my mind I see the final training runs as short, fun filled laughing and playing periods with crisp bullet like passes and plays run smoothly.

It might have been an infectious case of confidence and complacency which spread to everyone including the coaching staff. My view is a person, any person might get carried along or infected so to speak. I believe KW and probably Ikin along with all core inputs will have a good look at how it ( the break ) was handled.

Before the game Carrigan seemed more excited about Sat night out in Brisbane with the new boy and the party boys. I suddenly had a bad feeling about the team's overall focus knowing a big chunk of them possibly may be 'cocky', which has never been the Bronco way. WB hated it. Me too.

Same here.

But I disagree strongly we didn't "turn up" as others are saying. I'm unhappy because the reality was the Tigers outplayed us. They turned up the pace like we usually do in the last quarter, but did it all game. Consequently, they also made loads of errors but we made more. They Bronco'd the Broncos.

It would be easy to blame it on Reynolds, Niu, Carrigan, Hoeter etc, but I put their errors down to being rattled by the pace. Had Reynolds not gone off I reckon we might've won. But not by the margin we were all expecting.

Selwyn returns next week, and maybe Te Maire and Tyson. TC can't be far away, and I see Albert Kelly is back training. But other than Selwyn, I don't see many changes. I don't think Selwyn would've won us that game.

Other than Deine looking like he's ready for NRL, I can't take a lot of positives from that game. It's one of those games you just want to forget.

I'm crediting the Tigers with the win. Job well done. Sucks to say it, but that's pretty much what happened.

The only comforting thought is Adam Reynolds doesn't have a lot of off-nights. But last night was one of them.

Reynolds has had more than one poor game this season .
Like last night there are times when he over plays his hand . 7 tackle sets and trying too much trickery .
The Tigers and the Eels both put on plays that around him that lead to tries . The run around last week and the quick PTB catching Reynolds in field this week .

One detail I noticed last night was the amount of time a Bronco was left on the ground and not able to make it to marker after tackles .

But that`s Tesi`s fault for not organising him .

Woke up today still disappointed.

There is 2 ways the team can go.

1. Lose confidence and go into their shell which means loss after loss and we will miss the 8. Season over.

Or

2. Wake the **** up and gain more motivation then ever lifting their intensity and only losing 1 game from now til finals time and we go into the finals ready to rumble.

Let's see how much winning and success means to this team.

He's a 32 yo HB battling chronic groin, hammy and back issues. He has dealt with COVID this year and currently has the flu. Not to mention that he is playing with very sore ribs.

He has done pretty well considering. Without him, the Broncos would currently be scrapping with Newcastle to avoid the bottom 4.

I think the ref struggled to keep up with the frantic pace of the game. The Carrigan incident summed the entire game in a nutshell.

I would need to rewatch the game - which is not ever going to happen ever thank you very much - to get into a to-and fro-over effort, but I guess I saw the live game differently. We'll have to agree to disagree.

If the loss was as simple as us "not turning up" then it puts a different shade of light on the depression we all feel today. I feel more like we were beaten, which is maybe worse. But slacking off isn't great either.

I would like to hear specifically which players you think weren't putting in. Billy, Jordan, Patty, Payne and Flegs certainly were. Everyone was sticking it to me how much Billy lifted. Which was fair. He was busting his guts.

Something not mentioned by anyone is that Reynolds was off sick this week. It was reported as "flu" but who the ***** know literally why he was off. Maybe he was struggling with fitness due to that. We will never know. He's had a few off games this season. I hope that's the last one we see for a while.

The worst #9 in the NRL actually did what our #7 couldn`t .
ie play straight and put his support through a gap .

Not being able to win a contest for the high ball precludes you from the role in my opinion. Same with the wing.

And you think TMM when he returns will be the reincarnation of Alex Jezelenko ?
We saw TMM drop bombs under pressure too .

Short memories ...

True. Same with Selwyn, whose track record in the wet is pretty horrendous. The difference being Selwyn will compete.

I am positive Reynolds wasn’t right to play last night. He obviously said he was and Kev accepted that, but his on-field performance clearly contradicted that.

We need him for the tougher games to come. TMM or Gamble should have played last night.

There's no way I'm getting into Reynolds bashing. I'm already getting enough of a hard time.

He definitely wasn't, but I'm struggling to remember him ever playing 100% fit. He's always walking wounded.

No need to bash him, he has been terrific for us this year.

But he shouldn’t have been there last night, I think.
