We had bugger all line speed from the kick off and it got worse from there.

We conceded 66m on the first set. That's a fucking bad joke.

That's not fatigue, that's effort and attitude.

Something has gone rotten in that team. We beat the eels but even then our defense was dogshit and it's been dogshit ever since the storm game.
Didn’t help that the roosters moved 2m forward off the mark every tackle of the opening set, even playing the ball in front of the markers. Moving off the mark is supposed to be a penalty. RL must be the only game in the world where the most fundamental rules are allowed to be treated as optional. Sorry, pet hate!

But yeah, we were physically outmuscled all night, beaten in majority of tackles.

JWH and Lodge totally schooled our forwards tonight. That was total domination. The scoreline could have been so much worse if not for the slick conditions. It could be a tough month ahead if the current trend continues.

Patty is our link man in attack, leads our line speed, makes +130m a game and 40 tackles.

He is our glue.

He had a shit game last week and we looked shithouse ... he's missing this game and we look like 2020 all over again
look Patty is good but we where just soft as shit in the middle overall, alot of pattys link plays where not working last game as well as we struggled for meters like this one.

Mariner is the goods and the future so I get blooding him for a game or two but after a loss to the Tigers and then facing the Roosters I agree Lee should have come straight in
i get blooding youngsters for top teams like the panthers but we're a team re-building from a wooden spoon and a clean out. we need to have our best performing players on the field as much as possible to build a winning culture. it hasn't taken much for us to fall back into bad habits, there is no need to be tinkering with the side every second week if we don't have to

Someone needs to tell Haas that theres 2 sides to football. JWH and Lodge showed tonight you don't need to make 20 meters a carry to win the middle. Line speed and hard first contact completely won them the game tonight and made our forwards bar Flegler look like pussies.
Haas only has one speed, that’s how he can maintain the work rate. I would rather he played 20mins less and showed some aggression.

The Broncos just got blown off the park in the opening stanza.

Lodge, JWH and Radley were on song and to compound the loss of Carrigan the Broncos also lost Flegler and the Roosters ran away with the game. Suaalii really was a handful and even when Reynolds would put together a great kick to swing momentum they'd just go Suaalii, Manu, Tedesco, Tupou and the Broncos are on their heels.

It's where they really missed having Farnworth with his carries. Him and Oates are fantastic at swinging the tide but Oates was off his game tonight, Mariner struggled early after picking up a shoulder injury and the only time Cobbo looked likely was swinging on loose passes from the Roosters. It's where Staggs really needs to develop a dummy half run in his game, even if he only makes 10, get the good quick play the ball and get the team on the front foot.

I thought the attack the entire night was out of sync. Even on the scrum, Walters was lost twice trying to find who to run it to, the players weren't running the right lines, halves were forcing passes and there just wasn't enough variation. Ezra just stands on the same patch of grass, steps inside and hopes to link with his outside men. It was the type of night where the second-man play was on and they really ought to have returned to that Corey Oates play. I think that would have been the go tonight and then you either give Kotoni early ball or you swing it back to the middle and play off a Haas offload.

Unfortunately the boys played like it was free hit after it was 18-0 after 18 or so minutes.

Going into the game I saw it as an each way bet. I still think Tesi has more upside than TMM and if he and Mariner stood up in this game great. However they couldn't rise to the occasion, so TMM can come back in for a home game under less trying circumstances. I still have don't have as big an issue with it as others seem to.

Lack of resilience and effort for each other are my biggest concerns taken from the match.

Hopefully it can be turned around, and quick including team changes.

maybe the kid really earned the chance and after a solid debut Kevie thought he could give him one more. I don’t agree with his selection but I just don’t think it was outrageous that he was selected. Turpin and Niu getting selected now that’s outrageous

We need to go back to simple play, up the middle, get it to where Reynolds wants it for a kick and just build pressure off that.

We have got ahead of ourselves the last couple weeks.
We have completely moved away from what was working for us during our streak. Simple game plans to win field position, good defensive structures, aggressive line speed, high energy, and solid mature organising fullback.

Why **** around with a working formula?

I would not be surprised to see us fall out of the 8 because they were all patting themselves on the back Thinking what a good year they had.

Manu was quiet tonight but why the **** can't Staggs do the same? Get involved you lazy shit!

Broncos certainly been sniffing their own farts with everyone fawning over their run pre Tigers game.

From fighting for top 4 to battling to make the 8 in two weeks. Only we could do that.

Yep, our vaunted defensive efforts have completely evaporated.

This is a team going backwards rapidly, atm.

Are you high.
Faster, better skill-set, better foot-work etc.

Good luck to TMM for trying to catch that do or die flick from Capewell on his own in-goal.

TMM just has him positionally but again Niu was improving in the middle, so give him this assignment in a game that was always going to be tough. Niu couldn't handle it so bring in TMM for a more manageable game where the rest of the team is more likely to turn up.

That was terrible
Reynolds needs some help out there, he's trying to do everything himself.. our attack has no shape once it leaves his hands TMM and Gamble need to come back into the side.
Payne Haas is looking like a 400k forward ATM he should be our enforcer he needs to be the leader of the pack and take on guys like JWH and Lodge.
Oates is carrying the backs he needs Herbie back asap so he's not busting his guts every game being the only player in the back 5 making a difference.
Tesi Nui is not NRL standard it's that simple.

Jensen was a shining light I thought
