22/23 Off season - what must be done?

What are you basing that on though?

Suaalii is a beast but Selwyn has consistently done freakish shit all year and has created many of his own opportunities unlike Suaalii. Only thing you could comfortably say Joseph is better is being safer under the high ball and he's better at hitups coming out of his own half due to his size, other then that i'm not sure what grants him being more deserving then Cobbo.

Cobbo has had 333 touches - 15 tries, 17 linebreaks, 98 tackle breaks and averages 131m a game with a tackle efficiency of 78 percent.

Suaalii has had 384 touches - 15 tries, 14 linebreaks, 62 tackle breaks and averages 135m a game with a tackle efficiency of 69 percent

They're even in try scoring ability but Selwyn is the more devastating attacking weapon and that might be favorable.
Cobbo isn’t going (or at least shouldn’t be going) to the WC. His form fell of a cliff after Origin whether that was from fatigue from his first full season or the Origin concussion or a mixture of both and he needed a rest during an important run for his club. No matter what the stats say he shouldn’t be going to the WC.
Oates finished the season stronger and probably played with more consistency throughout the season. I’d be taking Oates ahead of Cobbo.

Suaalii has been in a team finishing the season strongly and is playing well. It’s a no brainer.

When Selwyn is hot, he's red hot, but he's still finding his feet. He slips over, makes too many errors, and looks like he needs a little longer to ripen. And his defensive techniques look awkward at times. In my opinion, he's a little bit ahead of Ezra in securing a full time NRL position, but this question is about choosing the best of the best in the competition, and again, in my opinion, experience counts at the top level.

The same argument applies to players like Suaali and Nanai but, regardless of age, they both look more mature than Selwyn right now. Well that's my opinion, anyway. But others here strongly disagree.

Selwyn got picked in Origin because he was literally flavour of the month, and really only that month. Only a handful of games before that the same commentators were suggesting he needed some time in the QLD Cup. In my opinion, he needed more time in the NRL before making the step up. Many will disagree, but he returned from Origin injured both physically and mentally. There's no question in my mind he should've been left on the vine another year.

I absolutely agree with this. I would have picked Oates over Cobbo for Origin & although Cobbo played really well in Origin we’ve seen although he may have been ready to play Origin he wasn’t ready for everything else that goes with it - like getting through an NRL season in best condition and form.

although Cobbo played really well in Origin
He didn't really though. He played well enough in Origin 1 not to get dropped, but he was worst on field in Origin 2, racking up the most errors of any player in Origin history. Yes, much worse than Xavier Coates and everyone was calling for him to be dropped. Had he played for NSW, he would've been dropped, but QLD tends to be more loyal. Best not to analyze what happened in Origin 3, but let's just say it would've been better for everyone, not least of all Selwyn, if he had've been dropped. And I don't say that in hindsight, I said it before selection.

Staggs to 9, may as well try and get SOME value out of him. He's invisible at centers.

Hass to impact bench prop. Let him show us that he's actually got some impact instead of slow defensive line resetting post contact metres.

Locky and the board to get off the bags.

Would be lovely to reduce our annual storm games by 50% too.
NSWRL will make sure that it’s not the case as their love child always fancy playing us twice a year post 2006 unfortunately.

Lockyer says not a lot of changes needed, just tweaks.

Starts 5 minutes in:

Locky is a legend & I truly admire him BUT I wish he’s not part of the Board.

‘Not lot of changes needed?’ - I wish you don’t make these silly statements often and make a fool of yourself Locky. The person in charge of Defense & the 2 assistants must be replaced at bare minimum. If you’re referring to these tweaks, I adore you more mate. If not, just shut up!

Lockyer is nothing other than a club legend placed there to appease the fan base. He’s a lacky and a yes man for the big earners to place in front of the media to smooth over bad news.

I’ve been thinking about it for a while and I’m not sure what his contract situation is like but would anyone entertain a Haas - Tapine swap?
Why would Canberra entertain that ?

No wonder Parker didn't last at the Broncos in that coaching role - too brutally honest and willing to have uncomfortable conversations for that current playing group.
