They’re probably also not used to knocking the ball on over the line 3 times in the same game too.

Lets not get too carried away. We won by a field goal…
**** who invited captain fucking buzz kill. Yeah we won by a field goal but the reason we won by that margin is because of our brilliant fucking defence.

Honestly I hate this shit. Before this game if someone said the Broncos will lose but it will be no more than a two try loss most people would have happily taken it. We end up winning against the 2 time premiers and you want to go this way? Sad.

This is going to sound a bit weird, but i dont think anyone was outstanding for us. I'd describe the whole team ( apart from Cobbo ) as rock solid. I dont think even the likes of Payne and Carrigan put in the kind of monster displays we see from them. They were just disciplined, did their jobs and thats the kind of thing that will see us finish top four. Early days, but we just looked calm and composed under pressure across the board. Apart from Cobbo.
I want to cry on this one. It’s a special reality….

Oates has to uppercut himself, but good game!

I wouldn't get too excited guys, round 1 & 2 are basically trial matches. That being said... our defence was f**king tight tonight.

That knock-on against Cleary gets called a knock back last two years.

Some bloke at work was trying to claim it was a 'charge down'. I just had to bite my lip. Actually, there were two people claiming it.

- He's not close enough to Reynolds for any movement towards the ball to be considered an act of 'charging down'.

- He moves his arm towards the ball after it is kicked. A clear reaction to the kick. If he was making a charge down attempt, he'd be using two arms and trying to make himself big by positioning his arms before the ball was kicked, in doing so pre-emptibg where it may move off the boot.

This is the kind of stupidity we are dealing with. A lot of other supporters complain about referees until they're blue in the mouth, but they don't even understand the rules.

Balance that with Reynolds stripping the ball backwards, it then bouncing forward off a team-mates leg, and the video ref says he stripped it towards the opponent's in-goal. Like... how?

I also noticed in this game that luai has this habit of interfering with tacklers when they are forcing his team mates back in the tackle.

He gets in there and attempts to pull defenders off to stop backward momentum.
He also does it so that it pulls our players out of position so they can attack that area they would be defending. It’s a rugby union tactic where they hold the player in the ruck longer to exploit the space they would otherwise defend.

Trick now will be getting them up for the cowpats
On the back of a good defensive effort across the park from our guys, playing our 1st home game of the season against Cowgirls should itself motivate our guys. With Walsh due back, we’re not only in for W but for points differential.

It’s about time to make Suncorp our ONLY fortress again.

Cant wait to get into work this morning.

There is a total of three Bronco fans at my job, with the majority of the rest being Roosters, Rabbits and Panther fans.

I am going to be rubbing this win in all day.

For the doom and gloom types. Bear in mind, in commentary they said the Panthers are the only team to go 8-0 to start two consecutive seasons and have won 25 of their last 27 at home. This is a pretty special win and as mentioned, they threw everything at us and we were by no means perfect, we’ve got a lot of improvement in us too. Make no mistake, this is a huge win.

Also our first win at their fortress in 14 years.

You hate reality?

I am very happy we won. But it’s round 1 and we scraped home because of 3 calls that went our way.

I am not punching the air just yet is all.
