Good luck separating Paix and Walters after last night's game. I thought Paix looked instantly sharper and Walters looked barely NRL standard for most of their time on the field. But they got the job done, so it feels mean to criticize anyone.

Billy's one big break did set up a try though, so ignoring everything else that would put him in front, I guess. When Luke came on it became obvious what we lack.

Sure.

Worth knowing that we had 15 DH runs last night. There was certainly a change to push forward out of DH and up into the line with support.

I think you're right....Paix did look sharper
but
he gets so fucken gassed that he becomes a liability in defence. Not so much missing tackles, but he's just too fucked to get in position.

They're both capable of servicing the halves with enough proficiency you don't spend the whole game yelling at them, but they don't offer much else for me. Neither are great support players, and their DH runs are pretty uninspiring. Occasionally Billy digs a little deeper and you can see his five-eighth lineage emerge. Like setting up that movement for Ezra>Herbie. More of that, please.

With Reynolds and Mam taking control like they did last night, it doesn't really matter. But we could be so much more. Maybe even premiership contenders.

Lets just hope Mozer is belting them in Qcup and simply demands that he be selected, sooner.....rather than later.

Walters and Paix had a great game like expected. A great 9 & 14 combination. Will take us all the way to a premiership.

They get too much random hate for my liking, especially from our own "fans", and right after we beat Penrith in Penrith.

Credit where its due, Walters was good last night.
The break was good because Mam pushed up in support..
I've always thought Billy sees rhe space but hasn't got the wheels to take advantage but if the others push up like mam did then its game on

Should've had a crack for anyone one of these hookers: Api Korisau, Brandon Smith, Reed Mahoney. Even making a play for Josh Hodgson would've been beneficial to Mozer's development.

We’ll win the premiership when we score a class hooker. Until then, no way. After watching Reed Mahoney, and then our muppets,, um, no. We wait for things to happen. Hookers like Mahoney make things happen

Remember that`s what I was calling for ? Back up through the middle and link up with Bill when he runs . It`s not fcken rocket surgery . Maybe Walsh will be the guy to do it ?

Billy was great I thought. Paix looked to have made an impact for about 5 or 10 minutes but he was so gassed so quickly. Billy needs to play hooker like he's playing in the halves. He can step, dummy and kick pretty decently and I feel he needs to do more of it.

He nails that 40/20 attempt against most other fullbacks I reckon, Edwards was just perfectly positioned.
