Please god can we stop talking about the 'hip drops' and talk about THE FUCKING CHAMPAGNE RUGBY LEAGUE that was Ezra on the inside and flick passing it onto Reynold's chest to go under the posts!!!!!!

Cleary or Nicho do that and they're instant immortals. Consider Nicho's blindside try last round where he threw a dummy and set up the try. Good play but never heard the end of it.

For ***** sake that Reynolds Mam play was as good a bit of league I've seen in a long, long time. Right up there with Milf, Hunt, McCullough in the 2015 Prelim against Roosters.

Hearing both Haas and Paddy say they were looking at each other after 15 minutes and signalling they were both gassed because of the heat was pretty pleasing to hear. As both inspired each other to play on through the pain barrier it was that drive from them both that gave us such a commanding lead in the first half.

Some of the turns of speed from Walsh and mam even in that driving rain were exactly what gets bums on seats, or if you're watching at home gets you on the edge of your chair.

Riki got deadset hammered into next week by RCG but he came back from it and managed to have another great game in defence.

Oatsey's carries in the rain were great to watch and seeing him back on that wing bringing the ball back was like slipping into your own bed after a week in some uncomfortable hotel room. It just feels so right.

Reyno missing conversions this year is starting to become a real concern. It might be time for the changing of the guard as those lost points will end up costing us in vital games eventually.

I've watched the lead up to Parra's first try and I still cannot for the life of me workout how in any world that penalty went to parra.

Despite the rain it was heart-warming to see Darwin embrace our game so fully as it is a renowned AFL stronghold. Forget the dodgy ref calls for a minute. Those kids did not give a stuff, they were just loving the atmosphere.

But when Isaako did it, it was bad. Because it is the wrong thing to do.

Cobbo stopped one try, but there's been numerous where he hasn't stopped the try just this season. You want him to trust his inside man and not give his winger a free run to the try line. He's been very lucky numerous times that Staggs has covered for him.

Oh FFS !
He snuffed out the attack by coming in . Oates tried the same later in the game and it didn`t work . No mention of that though Mr Agenda ?

i didn’t like it either. The Eels scored on that. But nobody else is defending him saying Oates did the right thing, are they?

But he isn't just coming off his wing to when there's an overlap. It's not the right way to defend because he's just going for that intercept so often.

He's not the worst player in the team and I've copped it for pointing out someone involved in the club and Dean Widders have both spoken about his attitude and where it might land him. It's that there's flaws in his game that he didn't think were issues last year, so he called out his coach on a fucking podcast because he's dumb.

There's a few people that just don't want to hear anything negative about him for some reason, where just pointing out those faults turns someone into a villain. It's crap. I've said it a million times, I hope he pulls his head in and shows improvement on the areas he needs it, but from what I have heard FROM THOSE IN THE KNOW, I am worried he won't. The rest of you can go along blindly, I don't need to tell you what I hear anymore. Just wait for Smokin' Joe to never respond instead.

I'm over the "He's young, you never did anything dumb yourself" shit. No, not really. I was young but not stupid. The calling out his coach was dumb, but leaving his teams game because they were getting beaten was low, and then just heading home because he felt like it before our last game was just not good enough. Luckily the club defended him in the media.

His performances haven't been great at all. Good, at best. He's doing everything he can to not challenge kick catches, he's coming off his wing way too often, not just this week against Shaun Lane by the way. He's been fine, but not on Haas's level, who I also don't like as a person but can praise his good performances. But that's not the issue that's worried me. I am worried about how he will grow as a player and hope he realizes what a big deal it is to play NRL footy because I want him to be as good as those people claim he is and only make one mistake a game.

And cool, I'm yet to hear anything wrong from the source by the way. I've even given everyones boy Smokin' Joe the hot tip at one point, to which I was told that he would shoot me a message when he hears anything which is yet to happen. Numerous signings, Smith/Cronk/Yvonne drama from the mouth of Phil Gould, everything to do with Hook because he worked with him for years at pretty much every club, plenty of Seibold stories because everyone in the comp was talking about it. Everyone loved hearing that stuff and was in my DM's asking all about it, but one bad word about Cobbo and here we go.

Nah ,,, that you are like a broken fcking record is what is annoying .

What`s wrong with the old school lock your arms and slide down to the calves and pull their ankles together ?
All this BS about what else could they do ? Do what worked in the past .

Yes the tackler may end up on the ground after the tackle . But the argument that , that a hip drop is the only resort is not genuine .
there is no reward for a legs tackle the second they hit the ground they call for movement if you were allowed to hold the legs a bit similar to when they call dominant players would soon be doing that.

Big Del, with all due respect, absolutely nothing of value would be lost if you just blocked me. In fact my time here would be much improved if I could avoid your incoherent rambling and terrible takes on absolutely everything

He didn't even bother attempting a catch the other week, one of the weakest things I have ever seen on a footy field.

How about Reece Walsh last night ?
Is he not NRL standard just like Tesi because he let a bomb bounce ?

That was what some people were trying to tell me last year .
Not heard a peep about it though ?

The first half was so good. The forwards handled Parra with ease in the 1st 40 minutes and it was over by halftime, and the Eels should have still been sitting on 0 at the break too. Carrigan, Haas and Flegler were dominant. The ball handling was much better than it's been recently showing they can lift when needed against the better sides.

Commentators seem to keep mentioning that Brisbane played some weak teams but they have won their 2 biggest tests against last years grand finalists now, and the 3 QLD derbys.

That Brendan Hands or whatever his name is was pretty woeful for Parra.

Feel sorry for RCG, but I don't think Haas should be punished when the Bunker also did not immediately punish it. Taking injuries into account is an incredibly slippery slope in what is possibly the highest level contact sport in the world.

In the post-match presser Kev said something along the lines of "coaches respect each other too much to train such injury-inducing tackling techniques"... seemed like a dig at Bellamy to me.

I will just never understand why on earth Parra didn’t throw the cheque book at Mahoney. Gun 9s are just so hard to come by and they had one, a young one who is already proven, and let him walk. You can see how much their attack is stifled as a result. Hodgson is also a liability now.

Interesting Kevvie specifically mentioned Mariner waiting in the wings again. I do wonder what our plan is with him for this season and beyond with Arthars there also.

Tesi isn't NRL standard at fullback because he's a shithouse fullback.

Because Mam's done virtually nothing this season so far. He had a good game tonight but come on, it was one pass. Cleary and Hynes are fucking on it for 80 mins and WON matches for their teams pretty much single handily.

Uttering Mam's name amongst those two guys is a bit of an insult to be honest. Will he be as good? Possibly but he's not ATM.

Lets be honest.....she just isn't very good......she's never been very good and if it weren't for the Media's/NRL gender equality in the workplace quota to fill......

She'd be TV presenting some random childrens cartoon channel.
I actually quite liked her on channel 9, she had independent thoughts back then. These days I think she just says what she’s told to say by her producer.

Why don't you just block him? Seems like that would be the easiest option...
