I don't like to blame officials for a lose but the ref overturning the bunker is the most bullshit officiating you can get. Panthers 1st try he lifted his arm and promoted the ball no doubt about it.

What? The Cobbo try that was given was clearly a knock on, and it wasn't replayed to show this. If that was Penrith, this website would be calling for a riot at NRL HQ. We got several lucky calls last night, refs probably kept Penrith under 30points.

The way they have ruling that this year, that is a try.

But if you freeze it, you'll probably see Cobbo getting fingertip downward pressure on it. A bit like the Jaydn Su'a try last night. Neither of them should have been awarded but both fit the current version of a 4 pointer as required per the NRL at this present time.

You only need .0001 of a second of downward pressure and no seperation of the ball on the ground to score a try.

The way the ball acts when it touches the ground clearly shows there was a split second of downward pressure on it.

No separation, downward pressure on the ball. Try.

I've got no issue with the current review system. Mistakes are going to happen, but tries are your biggest advertisement. They're the clips that make the news or feature in highlights packages, you want to make sure those are right and since there's a stoppage you have every opportunity to get the call right.

My only issue is that it should only take one replay for the bunker to say 'this doesn't look right, we're going to review this' instead of 3-4 and we're all sitting at home hoping the camera doesn't cut to the referee.

Even if we take the game on Friday, the only decisions that would have been reversed were the Crichton & Walsh tries. If the Crichton try was given I'd be ropeable and I'm sure a Penrith fan would say the same for the Walsh try. Both were clear knock-ons and we had the technology to confirm it.

If it’s not Petey Boy, it’s this idiot…or should I say these idiots…
Slumped to another loss….?!?!
we lost to the Storm by 8 mostly without our captain and halfback. And 2 tries to 1 to the reigning premiers again without Rayno or any fucken ball in the first half…. Shut up Ritchie you potato. You’ve never seen a game of footy let alone played.

We've lost 3 out of the last 4. A loss is a loss no matter how well you might've played, or what excuse you come up with, and particularly if your success has become contingent on a single player.

Our spine is still too fragile.

True and I’ll agree Souths gave it to us. Slumped would imply that we’ve been pumped and played like shit. Absolutely NOT the case. However, if they wrote “Broncos go down to Penrith in a stellar performance despite not having their star player” wouldn’t sell as well.…Take Cleary out of their team and we win 2 tries to 1. Hardly a slump. Again, we know Ritchie prefers the players off the field rather then on it so, I guess you can’t blame him for not having a fucken clue.

And just like that, Fox Sports and Matty Johns telling the truth ⬇️ .
See @McHunt, this is the difference between someone who has watched and played the game like Johns and someone who only tackles the fellas off the field like Ritchie.

“The Broncos were right up for this one,” Johns said.

“It just shows you what good form the Penrith side is in because they absorbed that early enthusiasm and pressure and countered.

“But it was a very strong performance from Brisbane. There was a lot to like about their performance last week.

There's a lot more to like for the team that wins.

The only thing Ritchie tackles is the all you can eat buffet.

There’s a section of these snake oil salesmen who’s headed by the clown Badel. These set of idiots always prefer go with sensationalism rather than fact checking. Agree that a loss is a loss but did the morons try to mention the facts? They don’t want to. Sometimes it’s best to ignore these retards.

On a different note, I really like how Kev’s doing the post match pressers. Especially the last one where he addressed the idiots that, “this won’t be the case in September so, right us off at your peril you morons.”
