I'm fairly confident when the are relocating (different states / cities) they have a lot of leniency.

I really don't think that's how it works when the player requests the release. It's definitely how it works when a club moves someone on, but if the player decides to move on and walk away from the contract, If they get less then that's on them.

This article saying we will pay a transfer fee. Wouldn't be wanting to pay much of a transfer fee if we are only getting him for the rest of the year. Would want Titans paying majority of it if its true they are signing him for 24/25

The NRL will have to implement something about this transfer fee thing in the future, if they want a salary cap competition it's not really fair that a club like us can swing our big financial dick around and get these sort of things over the line.

That is of course if it's outside of the cap.

I am all for it but at the same time, it's not really fair.
