He played the link role really well too .
I remember a few weeks back Kevvie giving him some praise when Haas and Flegler were out , by saying we have some good experienced forwards Palasia being one .
So Kev rates him .
Palaisla was great did his job as did whole 17

I was really impressed that the forward pack has learnt some confidence to work as a unit and belt the other team. They are starting to figure out when to dial it up and down with the flow of the game.

Roosters weren't terrible and probably would have beat half the teams in the comp with their performance. Sure they made errors, but i'm chalking those up to pressure and frustration (their season on line).

Watching the Kayo mini and I heard Gee say "We're supporting the on-field decision of Staggs being offside" how the **** can you not make a call in the bunker about that? What a ridiculous call by Atkins then backed up by Gee. Cartoonish buffoonery.

Heard this at the game and couldn’t believe it. You’re in the box to make a decision - earn your money, your clown.

Brandon Smith has given the strongest hint yet he is on the verge of a switch to the Roosters, admitting he looked at a Tricolours jumper and thought: “I want to win a premiership in that jersey”.

Maybe next year, champ. Though the future isn't exactly looking bright for Easts at the moment....

One thing I noticed which they must have spoken about during the week was covering the inside for the Tedesco inside ball. Capewell was working hard all match from the inside. Just the little things that don't go on the highlight reel but go a long way to winning a match like that

So a lot of people blowing up about the ref in the road of smoothy, but what is the actual rule? I know if the ball hits the ref it’s a mutual infringement or some shit and the team whose half it is in gets the ball. But I’m not sure if there is anything to do with the ref getting in the road of a player. I think it’s just an accident with no ruling to be made.

I think my bigger issue with it is the dog's breakfast ptb after that tackle which he allowed to play on as a knock on.

You cant tell me that rorters were onside, cleared the ruck properly, didnt interfere with the dummy half (ie. reaching out which is a penalty more often than not now) and hadn't tackled the first receiver early forcing the knock on.

Given he had just completely fucked up a certain try and created the clusterfuck that was the next ptb you'd think he would pick up one of the 4 or 5 indiscretions and blown a penalty to rectify his involvement in the play.... this on top of having disallowed a fair try only minutes earlier.

but nah all good play on and rorters ball

Don't forget the wonderful decision not to send JWH to the bin for the head shot on Payne, just total amateur refereeing.
Yeah seen some shitty sin bin decisions this season but bloody hell how he didn't get binned for that is a joke.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember a match recently where the attacking team got the ball back in the opponents half for a similar circumstance.
