When he’s ready how do we play him? Ideally he’d be starting 9 with hunt off the bench or vice versa, but I don’t see Paix getting dropped.

For all the Billy haters. We're at least 4 points / 2 wins better off this season if he's fit.
And if your grandmother had wheels she would be a bicycle. There’s absolutely no way to determine your claim.

Billy is a much better 9 than Paix. Paix did and has done and will do a job, but when Billy’s back, Billy is in.
Reckon Madge will chuck him in a cup for a week or 2 first, unless we get more injuries/outs.

True, we're just a better team with Billy in the 17. Especially not having his end of 2025 form interrupted.

He seems to go well when the whole team is playing well imo.
Not really he was definitely one of our better performers for much of last season when the side wasn't traveling well, infact there were many games last season during that period and further where he made a direct impact coming off the bench kickstarting our attack from dummy half when upto then we were struggling to stay in the game. Then when stepped up into the halves to replace the injured Mam he did exactly the job he needed to do. I'd argue he had to be probably our most consistent performer in 2025 and he had to be given the knives were out for him with claims he was only being there cause his dad was coach.

Paix is great at tackling and might be a better starting option. But where Billy shines is what he offers in attack, variety. Dummy half service, running and kicking all asking questions of the opposition and well above what Paix offers.

Will happily admit he went better here last year than his previous years when his dad insisted he was a starter, he goes better as a bench player. 2023 he played well for that 10 or so game purple patch the whole team went through too. Other than that he was hot garbage who couldn’t be dropped.

I like how you try at every chance to distance any sort of credit to Billy as a footballer. It's cool, ineffective, but cool.

Since you want to bring that argument, you must also accept when he was "hot garbage" as you so eloquently put it, so was the rest of the team. You want your cake, eat it.
