Might be some movement in player market with the Cronk shenanigans. Call me suspicious but Cronk isn't the type of guy to even touch himself without a detailed plan of attack let alone suddenly decide to put himself on player market at last minute and risk ending up in some crap club that ruins his legacy. Wonder if uncle Nick has already sorted his deal and they were just waiting to after Melbourne and Roosters out of finals before they ass can someone from Roosters? Pearce as much as hate him might answer a lot of Broncos problems and Wayne might be able to some of his d***headedness. He would benefit from getting out of a Sydney and a new structure on field. Would Keary go before Pearce? At very least we might get JNik back at a discount although have to know if worth it as doubt they will discount his contract too much.

We won’t be signing Ash Taylor, he has committed to a 4 year with the Titans.
It is also reported it is for only 3mil.

read the article ... it is a 3 year extension for 3 million. the four years includes next year which he was already signed for (2018 is not included in the $3 million figure)

Ash chose the money, very dumb move. He could've signed a short term deal with broncos grown to his potential than signed a huge contract to finish his career. Instead he makes the money decision like a lot of young footballers do. And it always backfires.
 
The positive is now we can save cap to re-sign the likes of Oates and TPJ and then groom one of the young halfbacks in our system to be our next halfback in the coming years.
