Yeah I don't think it was a dive but that was a disgraceful decision. I'm not sure I have ever seen a worse penalty awarded before. He was right on top of it as well.

I'm sure being a ref is a tough gig, but how they get decisions like that one so clearly wrong really does make the mind boggle.

He's come out and apologised for it apparently.

Same thing happened in Liverpool Vs. Chelsea game last season with the same ref, he came out and apologised after that as well.

Yeah apologies are good and all but he basically robbed Bolton of a very likely point in that match and he needs to be demoted. There is just too much at stake to allow referees to make such terrible errors and not be punished for it. I accept it can be tough and some mistakes will be made, but that one was ridiculous and to me showed that he is not at EPL standard.
