It's been mentioned a few times during the year by a few of them but I remember one interview with Glenn talking about it and I was kinda shocked seeing he is viewed as a leader apparently. He basically said that there are differently cliques in the team and Kearney has helped some of them 'bond' with kava sessions and shit like that. From what I have been able to gather the 'clique' seems to be mostly the kiwis and it consists of Glenn, Hoffman, Norman I think was in it.

Maybe it isn't a big deal but I think the idea of cliques in a team environment is nuts and was pretty taken a back that an apparent leader would happily admit to this.

I'd imagine every team has "cliques" that they prefer to hang out with or whatever. And that's probably normal, as long as everyone still gets along during team sessions and players don't get isolated.

I have no problems with cliques and I'm sure most teams have them, my issue is I feel like it was reflected on the field this year.

I also think talking about it, especially if your part of the leadership group is a terrible look. Look at the current top teams and you would never hear them say that. All the rumours suggest that there is bad blood between the Stewarts and DCE but all he ever says is what a tight unit the team is.

I guess at the end of the day if your winning people won't really care about this sort of stuff, but in a year where we finished the lowest on the ladder ever and where personally Glenn looks like a shadow of his former self, it really is a terrible look IMHO

Yeah I don't know if too much should be read into this. There are always some people in any organisation that you get on better. Provided it's not at the exclusion of others than I'm not worried by it.

Getting back to who should start in our 2nd row - I think Thaiday on the right and on form from last year it should be Gillette but he does have a tendency to miss tackles when they are trying to stand him up and run around him at speed - he either hits them with a shoulder like charge tackle and can pull off some bell ringers or miss tackles easily out wide easily - he has the ability to to make something out of nothing and get a good ball away to supports while attracting tacklers
Glenn on the other hand is steady as she goes and forgetting about last year - is able to run into holes - is a great tackler and is very steady - so do we start with Glenn for the first 20 minutes bash-em-up period and bring Gillette on then
I am a tad confused really and if I am confused image how Hook will go - all i know is that under no circumstances can he select Gillette or Glenn or Stagg in the centres with all the other blokes we have hanging around
