Anyone think Oates will finally be pushed into the back row like Bennett originally intended now that we have some stock in the outside backs and his control under the high ball was exposed late in the year

18 tries and 24 LB probably suggests that he won't be shifting to the back row anytime soon. Plus the fact that he has two bad knees, a bung shoulder and a weak ankle, making 30 tackles per game probably isn't advisable. The backline stocks (depth) aren't that flash anyways. It just contains a bunch of guys who have played a handful of games who may or may not forge out decent NRL careers.

To be fair I'm fairly certain the large majority of 'fans' wouldn't be able to identify Joe Boyce...perhaps even Dodds for that matter. I agree with you, though.

Agreed I could show you past sides of the Broncos and I would say the majority of fans would have trouble identifying some of the obscure players and that happens with current players as well.

trials will be interesting to start this year.

the spine is a lock but there is a bit of competition for outside backs, the starting #13, and bench positions.

re backs i definitely think it will be oates/roberts/kahu/mead at full fitness.

#13 could be an interesting one. Glenn was real good off the bench in the middle at the end of 2016, maybe he earns the #13 or maybe we start with Arrow.

Bench forward positions all up for grabs. I think dodds will get one of those spots just because of experience and his strong defense but i'd love one of these young blokes like ese ese or offa to really up their game and lock down a spot. TPJ will surely be in the 17.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jayden sua get a spot to start the season he has really impressed me he played 80 minutes over the origin period why not start him in the backrow and put gillett or thiday lock

The kid will be first replacement if one of our starting back rowers go down I would think. IMO out of all our rookies, would be the only one that could play in the back row for a full game, if needed. But with Glen on the bench (if), he will miss out as they are too similar cos they can play same positions. Could also maybe play at lock. I really like the kids grunt in defence and once he gets a combination with the halves and a bit more confidence, think he could be something special.

Not everybody studies pictures of the Bronco players and not everybody have posters on their bedroom walls. It doesn't make them any less of a fan.
